Estimate value of an Albator's cel (signed)

All,

I have ccome accross this cel and as I only collect DB cel I have no idea how much will be the real value. It comes with original background, the top has been cut so no number, it still look like an original for me. Most important it has been signed by Kazuo Komatsubara the designer of the anime (If I am correct). The size is standard 10X9 inches.

Let me know what could be the value ?

I am not sure how much as well.... But it would be very pricy...... But I think it would be around $1000..... But I could be wrong (so plz do not trust on me.....)

Now I wish I remember all prices on YJ..... Dp'h!

Akadro your Harlock signed cel is very hard to estimate but i think the price Kittens gave you is true !! i think 100 000 to 180 000 yen is an estimate price for such precious item !!

A lot of the Harlock TV show cels with BGs are cut. I don’t know, but I think it’s because many of them were originally packaged in printed Toei mattes.

I’ve looked at, and bought, Harlock cels but there has never been a uniform price on like cels. He wasn’t/isn’t very popular in the US. So, I don’t know how much it’s worth.

If people are buying, I think you could at least get $350-500. If you find a rabid fan with money, you might get $1000 because it looks nice and it’s signed. In the past I’ve seen original TV opening cels for sale at $1500 and more, but I think most of the cels with BGs that sell are priced at $250-350 and since yours is signed I’m guessing at least $350-500.

Right now you might be able to get more, because not too long ago there was an Arcadia of my Youth Emeraldas cel on YJ that sold for a lot. There were also some Harlock OVA Opening cels. I don’t know what’ll happen in the future.

If no one is buying, or a bunch of Harlock cels show-up, it might be $150-250.

But when I saw your site last time I did not see Harlock but now I see two of them

Ok guys I got the cel. I should receive it next week and it will be for sale. I guess that if I could sell on Yahoo Japan I will get more cash as in Japan they are more after signature and so. Will see I will create a post on rubberslug and will be UP for offers. I would have keep it but I only collect DB cel and as it is worth some cash I prefer to sell it and buy a DB expensive one...

So if you know someone that could be interested let me know,
