Total might include dealers, staff, volunteers and security that might've been hired by the convention. Paid might be just the con goers and paying guests. At least, that's what it sounds like. They are probably illustrating the number of bodies present in toto, separate from just the con goers and visitors.

Oh really what does THAT sound like?
The Three Laws of Robotics:
1. A robot may not injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

The cons do a lot of promotions, so there are press, television, etc plus they are encouraged to bring spouces and friends. There are also a lot of package deals where kids win tickets, but they have to have adults to get them in. Big cons will give away a couple hundred to a thousand tickets for advertising purposes.

Yes, Beach is more convenient for him or her but oh boy AX lines can be legendary in their longness seems very long to me too.

You sucked the post right out of my brain. Those were my thoughts exactly!!Keropi wrote:Ah okay. Thanks for explaining that.
Wow...Anime Expo has almost four times as many attendees as when I last attended. Yeah, that does make me wonder where they can fit them all over at Long Beach.

I'd love to go, I love Long Beach, but man. 40K? 10K was brutal!

Oh nice. I had always thought that Katsucon was some small con... Never pictured it as the 10th largest.. Of course I did know Otakon (which is only 15-20 minutes away ) is 2nd. I was considering going to Katsucon but i think i might just hold off and go to Otakon.
