Double the Sessh?

Post by shrinemaiden »

I originally saw this cel over on yahoo japan.

The auction is still going on strong.

Yet the same exact cel is up for auction on ebay. And it doesn't look like it's a sequence, since they are ripping the picture off from the yahoo auction.

I think it's a little bit fishy. Thoughts?

I think maybe a japanese bidder bought that auction knowing that they could get a huge amount for it from overseas bidders. I'd ask the ebay seller to take a digital picture of the cel so that way you could know for certain if it was in his hands. I'm sure that if an interested party mentioned the fact in the right way, that the seller would be cooperative. Then again, there is still a day left on that auction, so it is sort of weird.

If I had a ton of money just burning a hole in my pocket, I would be interested in doing some experimenting. I would 'buy-it-now' on the ebay auction for the $680, and then go over to the Y!JP auction of the same cel and bid an insane amount, like $3000 or something, just to see the shady seller scramble over the situation.

Henh, that might teach them a lesson about pulling weird shady stuff like this.

maybe not this time, but it has been documented before of sellers selling something on multiple sites to see what gets the better price and saying the cel got "lost" to the lower winning bidder. Shady shit all in all.
