After watching the Swan Princess movie in an attempt to ID my Odette cel I feel a bit confused. I had trouble ID'ing exactly where the cel was from. I was almost 100% positive it came from the "wait! What else is there?" scene but the coloring is different. While all the cel is almost identical her dress is too light and not the dark green, so then I searched for a scene with that specific coloring on the dress to no avail. Maybe I passed it, or maybe its a "mistake cel". I'm not sure but any help would be greatly appreciated!

see how really bright colored she is? well the reason i took a picture of her instead of scanned her is becasue for some totally wierd reason, when i scanned her the color was COMPLETELY different from what you see with the naked eye.
the scanned cel's color was actualy a light purple instead of the bright fuscia of what you see here.

so i have a feeling it is the cel that was actually used in the making of the film but for some reason when you scan them, the colors come out totally different!
its just freaky wierd i swear! LOL

anyone else encounter this when you scan your cels?

I tried taking a picture of it to test your theory and the cel stays the same color only her skin seems to have any change in color. Looking at it, it has the light color thats really close to the scan to begin with. While I still love it regardless I'd like to know where its from, maybe an early commercial?

Ultimately I'm not too concerned about it not being legitimate because I bought it from Rich Gullerud on eBay whom was associated with the making of the movie but just want an ID so I can be like AHA! I asked Gullerud but he couldn't recall. Just curiousity really. Thanks though for your help

Does any one know if they made test cels of this part of the movie?

That may be why the colors are different.

oh no, i meant the original against the scan, not the picture.
when i scanned it, the scan was a different color (light purple) than the original cel color (fuscia).

sorry i probably spelled those colors wrong. lol

anyways, but i meant when i scanned it, the scan was a different color than the original.

One of my speculations is that it may have been a test cel, if I remember correctly this is the first scene in which she wears this dress and thereon continues to wear it so it is highly possible. Hmmm....

It looks like the cel comes from the scene you said. However I believe they made 2 more movies after the first one. So you might want to check those out an make sure that the cel isnt from one of the other movies.

Guess I'll have to sit through the sequels *le ugh* I wasn't to keen to them so I hope its not from them, either way it's still Odette. I'll try that and let yall' know if that was what it ended up being after all.
