An old fisherman was sitting in his boat one day when he heard a voice say, ‘Pick me up.’ He looked around and could not see anyone. Assuming he was hearing things he went back to fishing, when once again he heard the voice say, ‘Pick me up.’ Again he looked around and this time in the water he found a frog floating on the top. The man said, ‘Are you talking to me?’ The frog replied, ‘Yes, I am talking to you. If you pick me up and kiss me, I will turn into the most beautiful woman you have ever seen. I will make sure that all you are the envy of all men because you will have me as your bride.’ The old fisherman looked at the frog for a short time, reached over, picked it up and placed it into his front pocket. The frog then said, ‘Are you not going to kiss me? Did you not hear what I just said?’ The man opened his pocket, looked at the frog and said, ‘I did, though at my age I’d rather have a talking frog.’
