So I'm very new to selling on eBay... so new in fact it took me over a week to figure this out and get all the pics up (was expecting it to all be very simple and straight foward for a charity auction lol, but not so much ^^; ). Anyway they're up at last

These are both great charities, so if you see something you like I hope you'll help me!
Medicins Sans Frontieres (Doctors Without Borders USA) is a non-governmental, secular organisation devoted to getting medical attention around the world to wherever it's needed. Right now amongst other things I think they're going round Haiti trying to give critical follow up treatment to people who need it, to prevent infections that may be caused from untreated injuries etc. The reason I picked their charity for most of my auctions in particular is that I read that they do a lot of work in Haiti but the earthquake made all three of the organisation's permanent hospitals over there unusuable...

MSF also does a lot of other vital and brave work- notably, they risk their lives speaking out about and bearing witness to many attrocities that occur in the regions they work in. They also aim to provide psychological support to victims of disasters, conflicts and so on.
Update: Apparently they're very grateful for people's generous support of the Haiti disaster relief, but they like other charities could also definitely do with a lot of non-earmarked donations that they're allowed to use for other vital operations they're carrying out around the world. Please support them!
UNICEF meanwhile is of course a children's charity under the United Nations. I'll probably auction off more old toys for them in the future if this goes well, as it seems appropriate ^^. I think if they can use any of the money they get towards preventing things that if untreated or unintervened upon now could really mess up the kids' futures as adults, that's a great thing. Right now I read that they're looking for children who are wandering around unaccompanied, presumably to see if they're okay and also get to them first to protect them from would-be child traffickers x.x.
