So in my recent attempt to get organized, I've discovered (or I guess, re-discovered) my pile of freebies I piled up over the years. They are mostly characters I don't collect, sometimes I don't even know the series, but I don't want to just throw them away... But they are just taking space.. (it's the pack rat in me). I'm curious, how do you deal with your freebies? And what about those random sketches that I don't want anymore but doubt that they would sell for anything...
Creative ideas welcome.

I've sometimes posted them here with a "whoever wants to pay for shipping can have them" and people frequently want them for various reasons. ^_^ If nothing else, it's fun to see all the random freebies people have laying around. ^_^

Freebies are great entry level artwork for li'l collectors who love the hobby but aren't quite ready for the advanced stuff. I give mine to my daughter, who hauls them out and stares at them with the same reverence as any adult collector...but the occasional fingerprint or two is no great tragedy. ^^
Whenever I run a convention panel on cel collecting, I give mine away as door prizes. In the past, I've had other collectors send me theirs for this purpose.

I've done that several years ago when one of my friend ran the cel panel here at Sakura Con. But they pile up! -__-
I may set up a page of freebies for people to grab if they want to just pay shipping, that sounds like a good idea.

I dislike building up a lot of cels/sketches that I do not plan on keeping, but at the same time want them to go to someone who is actually interested in them. Like Drac said. The freebies that I am not interested in go on the freebie page (linked from the home page NOT the cel gallery page).
Anything on that freebie page is up for grabs. I just charge shipping. I once charged $1 for gas to the PO since it is kind of far to drive. Most of the time if people are willing to wait a little I will incorporate the trip with work or other errands, then I'll drop the $1.
