Over the past several months, I've been a very, very bad spender; and for one who needs to save money to move in the next two months... it really needs to stop. I've been to multiple housing agencies and it seems like I need anywhere from $2,500-3,500 up front to get a new apartment. *sigh* It hurts just thinking about it...

So as I posted in my gallery thread, if you see anything that strikes your fancy in my gallery, feel free to shoot me an offer. I probably won't accept anything in my top series, but I will seriously consider offers on anything else.

PERTINENT INFORMATION ABOUT THIS OFFER PERIOD

*** Offer End Date ***
None at the moment. I will try to keep offers open for as long as somebody is interested in something, but please don't be too upset if I turn down an offer. There are still many pieces in my "not so important" series categories that I love and can't part with... That being said, I am running toward a deadline--I need to move out no later than June 12... but I need to find a place and PAY FOR IT at least a month earlier.

*** Payments and How Soon to Send Them ***
Please understand that I can only accept payments via Paypal. Payments must be received in full within a week of accepting your offer. School is going to be starting up again soon and I will have plenty of time to send out your items as soon as I receive payment. I may have considered payment plans if I weren't on a tight schedule. I'm only having this offer period because I need to scrounge up funds quickly to move within a month!! Please understand my situation and position on this!

*** Shipping Method ***
I've heard all sorts of horror stories when it comes to different/cheaper shipping methods, so to avoid all that I would like to use EMS as my shipping method. Yes, it is more expensive, but it is the most secure way to ship items and give you the peace of mind to know that it will reach you safely--and you'll be able to track it on its way!

EMS shipping to the US is $15.50.
The initial estimate to ship items via EMS was about $12.50 but that was without extra packaging to prevent damage en route. ^^; Sorry for the increased shipping charge!!

*** Definition of "Offer" ***
Taking a hint from other members on this forum who have set up offer periods, I would like to follow in their suit and make this definition of "offer". During this time when I will consider offers, I expect to receive OFFERS, not questions like "what would you like for...?", "I don't want to offend you...", "I don't know what you want for..." Like others who have said this before me, I will not be offended if you send me an insufficient offer or even an offer for something I would rather like to keep. If I were to put prices on everything it would sort of defeat the purpose of having an offer period, wouldn't it? So if you're interested in something in my gallery that you'd like to add to your own, send me a serious offer and I will consider it. My apologies in advance, but I will no longer respond to messages that do not include a serious offer.


If I come across another point that needs addressing or if many people ask the same question, I'll be sure to add to this post here for everyone's convenience.

Uh-oh, that's not good! Then it looks like it doesn't work!? I haven't received anything through the Rubberslug feedback form!! That's really strange; I saw some people were having trouble receiving messages that way, but I received a couple recently...I don't know why this time wouldn't work.

Just take out the words "AT" and "DOT" and replace them with the proper punctuation. I hope I can help you out after all of this... :p

Quick update...

Although I mentioned this already, it seems I need to address this again.

If you have sent me a PM here on Beta, a message on Rubberslug, or E-mail to my hotmail account and still have not received a response from me, it does not mean that I am ignoring you for whatever reason. It is because I have not received your message. It seems that both Rubberslug and messages to my hotmail account are hit and miss, but Beta PMs seem to go through fine. Try to get me there #1 and if that fails, please post a message here and I will try to get in contact with you!!

** I will not ignore ANYONE'S message for ANY reason. It's one of my huge pet-peeves so I would not intentionally do that to someone else.

Moving update!!

Things are going well so far with apartment hunting! I just had a look at one place that seems pretty nice. It's about the same size as my apt now (around 30 square meters) with 1 room and a large kitchen. The literal bath room has the sink inside but toilet separate (thank GOD! I've really had it with my bathroom that you can only take two steps into... one just in front of the toilet and the other into the tub. xP) The washing machine will still be outside on the balcony, but I don't mind! xD

I'll probably have to sign papers and pay for it soon! So thank you to everyone, again, who has purchased something from my gallery during this time!! I really appreciate it!

And to help show my appreciation, I'm going to upload a couple pictures of the area for you. If you know anything about the Yokohama area, I will be within 10 min walking distance from Sakuragi-cho... where the big Ferris Wheel and tall white buildings are on Yokohama Bay (it's in anime and dramas all the time). Actually, the area near the apartment is called Nogeyama, which is up a bit of a mountain...and there's a big park/free zoo there, too!! Quite amazing!

Anyway, here's some pics for you! I'm going to post them as links rather than directly posting them. File size wise, they're pretty small, but the photos themselves are pretty big. :p

Thanks, I'm glad you liked the pics!! I really like that area of town! It hasn't quite sunk in yet that I'll be living there soon!!

Anyway, a quick update:

I've sent the first couple packages out already. There are just a couple more on hold before I ship them out.

I just went and cashed a couple money orders my dad sent me that I was saving for emergencies, so that plus the amount from this offer period, I believe I've made the min amount to pay for the new apartment!!!! Thanks to everyone who helped me out with this!

...but tomorrow my landlord is going to inspect my current room and will let me know what she's going to need for damages my insane cat has done. I'm really dreading this meeting for that reason and just that... I don't know, I never really liked this lady much. I told her that I will leave my almost new air-con in the one room as well as other handy household goods that are too unnecessary for me to pay to have delivered. Let's hope she will accept those items as collateral.

For the meanwhile, though, offers remain open if your interested in anything. Just send me a PM. If by chance you don't hear back from me, give me a quick shout-out here and I'll get back to you ASAP!

HAHAHA Just had a chat with my landlord and it appears she wants me to pay another $1100 some to move OUT. This is including the last [partial] month's rent, the cleaning fee, and the initial deposit & gift money that she waived when I first moved in. OH JOYOUS DAY! So...

Please please please!! if you want something in my gallery, send your offers and I doubt I'll say no this time (as long as it's an item I can part with...!).

And here I thought I was going to have enough for the new place AND moving expenses. *dead*

**BUT** I forgot to add in the additional funds I will have thanks to all those of you who have purchased cels from me during this offer period! Seriously, thank you to everybody who bought cels from me during this time!!

I'm actually looking around my room to see what else I can sell that's not one of a kind and can be purchased again later if necessary. Is anyone in need of a Japanese Xbox 360 w/ 120GB hard drive? lol I only bought it for one game years ago and actually stopped playing a couple others so... it's expendable! I may take it to Book Off and see what they'd give me for it. *sigh*

Slight bump to this thread. I'm down to the 2 week mark before the move! I just sent the initial payment for the new place and I should be okay to pay for the moving company.

I still need to pay some outstanding bills not to mention pay off my current landlord... and I will still need to buy a washing machine, gas stove, and fridge... So if you'd like anything else from my gallery, NOW is the time! I'll be packing stuff away in the next week!!

Again a gentle bump to this thread!

I got the keys to the new room the other day and personally moved about half of my cel collection already. The only things of that left at the old place are the oversized cel books, which I'll try to transport myself with my huge suitcase. The movers are coming on Saturday so I have just one more day left to pack any other misc stuff. Once things settle down a bit later this weekend I'll post more pics of the new place as thanks for everyone who helped me out! In the meantime, my gallery is still open to offers; I only ask that you're prepared for a negatory response should you inquire about an item from my top titles. ^^;

I also recently received an E-mail from a visitor to my site on RS, inquiring about offers. They attached two images from the site to show which cels they were interested in. Although I appreciate the attempt at clarity, I would rather not have people save my images if all possible...and send them back to me, no less. ^^;; it just tells me that people are perfectly fine with side-stepping the Inability to Right-click 'n Save. RS still utilizes this script, right?

Anyway, it's a cold, rainy day in Yokohama. The past two days at school have been event days (yesterday I walked over 12km with the junior high) and I am exhausted! It's supposed to be Golden Week but it is hardly even worthy of the bronze rank. We only got the past Monday (my day off anyway) and the next Friday-Monday off... 4 days, better than nothing...but with moving and setting everything up again... *sigh*

The move has been completed!! Yaaaay! I'm so excited; I already love this place! It's so much better than the dinky little place I had been stuck in. Thanks again to everyone who helped me along the way!

I have just about everything set up in the house now. Got my electric, water, gas, and Internet all taken care of by now! The only things I'm waiting to get delivered are the little gas burner, fridge, and washing machine (hopefully my credit card order will go through and I will get the latter two delivered today!!

In the meantime, I'm in the process of touching base with those who have requested payment plans for items in my gallery. Also, the gallery will probably be open for offers for a while yet, so if you're interested in something, please feel free to send me a message. Just please understand that I may not be able to accept anything for my top titles... There are also many others that are not part of my main focus that have a great deal of sentimental value for me, so I'd really appreciate it if you could kindly understand if I cannot accept an offer on a certain item. My motto being "You'll never know if you don't try", I still encourage you to contact me if you see something you like.

I sometimes hear the peacocks late at night. haha They've got lions, tigers, a bunch of monkeys, alligators, flamingos, camels... It was really busy yesterday when I went because...duh, it was Children's Day. lol

Well, guys, here I am again. I'm adding to this thread to reiterate that most areas of my gallery are still for offers. Just six days after payday, I'm again very much under budget to get me through the next three weeks. And I'm unemployed now!! My contract has concluded and I've already gone to 4 different interviews this past week... I'm absolutely exhausted.

Please feel free to send in your offers for anything in my gallery, just know that it's highly doubtful that I will accept any offers for my top 4 titles (B't X, Gulkeeva, Samurai Troopers, and Ys), but there are some other prizes in other sections that I can't part with. But still, give it a try!!

I'm thinking about setting up a for sale page with set prices for some items, too, but that might take a bit more time to set up.

Well, thanks to my crap job not paying anything over the break since I didn't technically work, I'm going to be really broke come next payday. I've added a bunch of new categories since the last time I posted here, so maybe there's something new that caught your eye.
