Arc System Works Love and Replicating Hand Drawn Animation In 3D <3

Because I’m home still, I have gotten hooked on fighting games again like, Guilty Gear, and Blazblue.-Been so long since I played Guilty Gears! Them golden pixel days lol-
I tried playing the newer games of Granblue Fantasy and Dragon Ball Fighters. Visuals are true to their sources! It’s like I’m watching an anime epi of Dragon Ball even though graphics are in 3D! For Granblue they went all out and did an RPG type look for everything just like the online game. I really love studio Arc system works! Their 2d pixel works were always the best in the market and impressive, and now their 3D works are just as fantastic. I was able to find out recently why their stuff just looks so good and unique and I thought it would be great to share here.

A new game for Guilty Gear is coming soon and the new graphics are so juicy! For some reason it has that older anime vibe. The creators were going for an anime movie production look here.

Also....really hooked on Under Night In-Birth. It would be great if an anime exist of it. The Character Designs are so fun!

There was recently a movie that was released last year where the creators wanted to make 2D look 3D!
It’s called Klaus. Have you seen it? It’s on Netflix. It’s a Christmas movie and really a sweet take on the story.

I think the trick for either 2D or 3D look, definitely has to do with the play on Light and Shadow. It is very labor intense which is probably why most places would just want to stick to one or the other. The results are totally worth it though.
I really have to wonder what’s next after this. ;v;

Cool, good to see there are still innovators out there. Just having shadows will do that. Kind of fools the mind there.
