Were you the one bidding on that 30000+ yen Conan storyboard? I just happened to be browsing when I saw that with a couple minutes left due to time extensions. I had no idea it was that popular!

LOL THe Conan movie storyboard was very tempting, but I knew it would get out of my range. I was after the OP storyboard.
I've only bought one story board, and it was nearly and inch and half thick! for a one hour special - which I have yet to see the episodes.

So image the shipping cost for a storyboard for a movie??????

I've been a fan of Conan since I first saw the series I think it was in its 6th or 7th season in Japan. It was a graduation gift from my Dad to send me abroad and ALONE! It was a very adventureous summer of new foods and lots of WALKING.

Bought a few cels back in 2001/2 from Miki Jungle (name?) but due to concentrating on SM, I sold them for UBER CHEAP!!!!, well cause I bought them UBER cheap from her ^_^, now I iwsh I hadn't. I had a Conan using his sleeping dart watch.....I would really like to find one of those again.

*sigh* I really shouldn't be buying more. But maybe when I go home next time for a weekend to pick up some things to sell off.

I can't wait to see the story board though, and maybe put it together as a gif. image.

Any other Conan fans? Maybe we can call dibs to keep prices low enough if any other items should pop up?

I call dibs on Takagi and Satoh, and if ever a Chiba cel shows up, I'm going to get it (provided the price is reasonable, of course). And any of the other police I don't have...

I think I'm the only female fan who DOESN'T care about Kaito Kid. I don't think he's a very interesting character, to be honest. Too cliche. There are too many phantom theives in manga. Of course, I'd still get a cel if I ever could get one for a good price. The one scene I really like (and that I know cels exist for) is the end of the third movie (Last Wizard of the Century), with the birds.

I've only seen up to episodes 51 fan subbed and a few eps in the 300s? of raws, seen maybe 2 movies I think....yeah I'm looooooong ways away from today.....fan subbers are not interested and the one thats subbing it mostly a one man commited team with others that help and come and go....

Dang I need to learn japanese faster, so I'm not realy familar with any/all of the other characters beyond this point.

I don't know this Kaito Kid, but if he's the guy that I see in YJ, are those fan cels? I can't tell whether they are or not.
Do they give some of the Conan cels out for special promotions? I think I read an auction description one time taht stated where it was received from.

But if you have any of the remaining episodes translated, I'd love for a way for me to watch more.

Side note: I got my older brother so addicted to the series (his first impression was that it was a kiddy anime and not worth watching, HA! showed him who's got good taste in anime - most of the time)

It was nearly $30 dollars for my Inuyasha "Castle Beyond the Looking Glass" storyboards. Five separate sections approximately 3 inches thick.

jcaliff, your Conan cel with the microphone/CD is awesone, I heard about that episode where he gets to sing with Two-Mix, I;ve only listened to the mp3, but I would love to see that episode, if you see another cel similar to it, will yo ulet me know? Congrats on an awesone cel.

Kaito Kid is the guy with the white top hat, monacle, and cape. Cels of him are really rare because he's in so few episodes. He was in the third movie, the most recent movie (done CG I believe so no cels), and probably less than a dozen tv episodes. He's also the most popular character among drooling fangirls.

My favorite characters start showing up in... late 200s I think? Actually a lot earlier, but they don't get significant storylines until then. I'm not sure exactly, but I can check the DVD to find the number of the first Detective Love Story episode when I get home.

Those nice cels on YJ lately are ALL fancels. In addition to Kaito Kid, there are also fancels of Ran and Conan, and sometimes of Shinichi. If it looks like a really nice, a1 cel of the popular character(s), it's probably a fan cel. Just check for the characters 同人 in the description (if you can see them). I hate all the fancels there - it's just a matter of time before the buyers forget that they are fancels and they start infiltrating the regular market.

They used to sometimes. I know that the 6th movie (Phantom of Baker Street) cels were given away to people who went to the premiere. There was some kind of special illustration and copies of a key cel of Kaito Kid with copies of the douga for the 3rd movie. I'm not sure about others.

Unfortunately, the only translated episodes I have are the Funimation DVDs. The rest of my tapes are raw and region 2 dvds from Japan (no subtitles). Sorry...

Thanks! I keep waiting for more cels from the concert to show up on YJ. There were a few a couple of years ago, but I haven't seen any others for months now. I really regret not getting the one of the Shounan Tanteidan singing backup chorus.

Actually, I just checked. It's a lot earlier that I was thinking - first Love Story two-parter is 146-147. Part 2 is 155-156, and part 3 is 205-206. After that I don't know the numbers.
