I've accepted the fact that I will be single forever. I'm too set in my ways to be anything else.

but you never know..

Answer them, "We already have one, just not here yet." Then walk away before the puzzled look fades.aernath wrote:LOL @ Yoshito!!!

Now, if I can just come up with a smart-assed answer as to why I don't have any kids....![]()
(I usually go with "my husband's my only child")
I'm not married either... But if ever said that.I've also managed to stay off the questions of why I'm not married with the answer, "Don't know, do you?"
I love this list, my parents went through that stage about my older Brother who's 34 now. It's worst for me because I'm female and 28. I think my Mother will have a heart attack if I reach 30 without getting married. I guess I'll have to make sure that the hospital bed is ready for her on my birthday in 2 yearsyoshito wrote:Single, went through almost all the stages of "panic" that I can think of.
The, "You're 100% Japanese and need to find a Japanese wife to keep the family name going."
Then, "You're still single... need to get married and have kids to keep the family name going."
Onto, "You're still single... and we're hoping you're not gay so we can have grandkids."
Past, "Um, one of these days we'll see you have a girlfriend right?"
Given up on, "Yeah, family not bothering to set you up on dates at all."
Recently moved from, "I MUST GET MARRIED AND HAVE BABIES!!! GETTING TOO OLD!!!" panic state.
Now in the, "Eh, why stress it? I have more money for computers, games, anime, manga, toys, and cels."
=P Yep, think that covered all the stresses in my life.

You said it! Spinster.....I don't mind it if someone called me that right now, but if I was 40 and not married, I think I would seriously punch someone if they really did call me that to my face *most likely my brother*. Though I would prefer to be called a BacheloretteFever's Break wrote: Oh, and I think single women should start calling themselves bachelors too. This "spinster" or "old maid" crap has got to go.
