Major new toy on Beta

I installed a major addition to Beta today. You will notice a new link at the top of the forums called "Album". This feature lets members create small albums of images. Since this is a forum for animation cel collectors, it seems proper to be able to display some of these images. There is a rating system in place which I have left active. Hopefully this will be used objectively.

I have recreated the scrapbook as the initial public gallery here. You can now upload your own pictures as you desire without having to email them to me.

I added very generic descriptions to each image which you can change, and I encourage you to.

it turns out only the poster can change the description on an uploaded pic. For those of you with pictures in the scrapbook, if you want me to delete your picture so you can upload it and add your own description, just shoot me a PM or email and I will do so.


At this time, I have set it so the galleries are only viewable to members who are logged into the forum. This is to prevent people from stealing your images. I have also disabled image-linking so no one can link to a posted picture on another site.

I have not added any other public categories or albums at this time, but we can add them later for things such as the Annual Anime-Beta awards, or the scavenger hunt...or whatever else comes up in the future.
