Nah. Would be a lot better to have the Japanese logo for Tenchi Muyo put
there. That way whenever anyone may ask you what it means (hey...I
don't know how often you'd show it off), you can truthfully answer:
"This end up."

Anime tatts aren't the best things to get done for the reasons that everyone's outlined already- you may like it for a few years but chances are you'll want to get rid of it in 10 or so.

I've considered a design for several years, it's a Japanese sumie drawing of swordsman Musashi Miyamoto with the 'Bushido' Kanji/Katakana combined. I'd have it on my inside right forearm, traditionally known as a samurai's Sword arm. At a later date I may have a demon on my left arm for balance. To an extent I belive in the Taoist Yin-Yang theory.
That's a design I could live with for life as it has a great deal of meaning for me.
Out of the gloom a voice said unto me;
"Smile and be happy, things could be worse".
So I smiled and was happy
and behold;
things did get worse...

10 years from now they'll have lots of painless ways to get rid of tattoos.
Maybe they'll even clone you a new arm, leg or butt. :D

The Doctor : … and then, just to finish off, I’m going to wipe every last stinking Dalek out of the sky !
Dalek : But you have no weapons ! No defenses ! No plan !
The Doctor : Yeah ! And doesn’t that scare you to death ?

[quote="Remi"]I would never get an anime tattoo. Tastes change and to me that is one that would be likely be regretted 40 years down the line.quote]

Good point! Maybe that's why I've never found a design that I liked enough to make permanent! All of mine are either botanicals or kanji. Oh yeah, and Kokopeli!

I can already see some mistakes being made which would result in people talking out of it. ... then again, it wouldn't be much of a change in some cases :D

Of course, if you add the NERV-tagline, everyone will want to read it. So the emplacement of the tattoo will be really crucial.

Congrats on getting the tattoo. It's looks great.
I wonder how many people will ask what it represents. :)

Was it painful ?

Thanx guys ^^;! People ask all the time what it says, and I try to explain what the image represents, most always have a confused look...LOL...But I actually get a lot of anime fans noticing...They love it ^^; LOL!

Getting a tatt actually didn't hurt...It felt like you got seared on the skin by a hot pan. The pain goes away after a day though. When I got my touch-up, it didn't hurt like the first time ^^!
