not to sure if there is a thread some where in here. to lazy to go look. i know there's people here that wanna talk about it.
i do know one thing. never try watching reload-gunlock before finishing the original saiyuki. plus the first part of reload i didnt get to finish for certain reasons.*sighs*i'll probably be confused when trying to finish the original one. but i got to see hazel and that was good. heh.
and if you've seen the gunlock half, is it just me or was hazel not stalking sanzo?

Well, I have to confess to being a total dope and watching Gunlock before I watched Reload.
*raises hand* Yes, I am an idiot.
And, in fact, I've still not seen very much of Reload. I'm purchasing it as the licensed discs come out at my local Best Buy.
But ... I had to chime in here and say that I agree ... Hazel was SO stalking Sanzo. He had a whole Sanzo worshipping thing going on, in a very unhealthy and rather scary way. Poor Hazel ... so tragic. The "bad" guy in Requiem (can't ever remember his name ...
) was like that, too. Poor Sanzo ... he just gathers followers, whether he wants to or not.

There's a movie, too --- Requiem. Isn't it set between the events of the first series and the second one? I'm not sure. Maybe one of our resident beta Saiyuki experts will show up and set us all straight.
As for the second series, Reload comes first (the first season of the second series) ... and then Gunlock comes next (second season of the second series). I think. Reload is already releasing in the US.
I have no idea why they are named two different things ... probably that whole "minus wave demon thing" going on there ... or, the devil made them do it. Yeah ... that's it. The devil made them do it ... Yeah ...
I wish I could remember how many episodes were in the first series. But, aernath is right ... it was pretty long. Worth the time investment, mind you ... but long.

Cool. I like long. er. . .lol I mean, I need something to distract me for a while. Besides, I've grown to kind of like getting things as they're released over here. It's good practice in patience and delayed gratification.

hai, it's long.
requiem, you can watch wheither you've seen the first saiyuki or not. but probably be better if you have.
for saiyuki- the first 6 dvds are the first half of the season. 7-12 is the second half of the season. then it goes reload. then gunlock. i'm not sure how long the reload and gulock is.
bishies in saiyuki= the whole sanzo party, kougaji(sp?) and homura.
basically the only new bishie is out of gunlock and that's hazel and the demon that uses hypnosis, what is his name. there's nii also, which i consider bishie, but i think most just consider him a bastard. there's kami also but i'm not sure where he show up.

Yeah, but Goku really got the short end of the stick in the clothing department. OK, so Sanzo really didn't change his "uniform" ... but, come on ... he's a priest. It's not like he has a whole lot of choice in what to wear from day to day. Hakkai and Gojyo both got spiffie new clothes ... very cool new looks. But,poor Goku ... not only is he wearing the same ratty clothes he bounced all over Shangri-la in during the first series ... they look way the worse for wear! I mean ... what's up with that whole torn pants street urchin look he has going on? Poor kid. I think he should go demon on them and demand some new clothes. Sanzo has that credit card, after all ... you'd think he could use it for something other than ciggies and beer.
