I'm curious what my fellow Beta members are thinking of this.
Last year I had two Rubberslug Galleries, one with all of my DBZ Cels, and one with all my Cels from other series.
Unfortunately RS told me to close the second Gallery, so I didn't have much of a choice.

Lucky for me I found another way of keeping the Cels online, so that everyone can still see them ( http://cels.proboards33.com ).

But the reason of this post, I found out that there is someone else with two RS Galleries, one for his Transformers Cels, and one for his Cels from other series.

Now my question is; is it fair that I had to close my second Gallery, and that this one is still online?

In my opinion it wouldn't be fair if one person does get two Galleries, and another person doesn't.
What do you think?

I think it should be up to the person if he/she wants two galleries. What's the worst that could happen? Is it going to do any hamr to RS? I think not.

In my opinion, I'm guessing that RS is unaware that the same person has two sites. Check back in a few days and I bet one of them is gone and combined with the other now that you've made it known. Frankly, I see no reason for two galleries either on RS or otherwise.

Definately it's not fair.

That guy should be told the same thing that you were told. Either that, or just try to open another one back up for yourself SSK.

I agree with Soda, I don't think that RS knows that this person has 2 cel sites. Don't take it personal.

I thought it was the rules that each individual was allowed only 1 site on RS. I can't remember where I heard that.

I agree with soda.... I am pretty sure they do not find it yet..... You might want to send email to Jason or someone..... (I think there is Ban gallery thread in RS forum.....)

I do think that a person should not have two gallery IMO because the RS server takes more spaces and it might cause memory space problems.... (I am not sure exactly how it works but I think one gallery per a person seems to be fair to me....).

I agree with soda. i don't think that rubberslug knows, because they must not be able to check every gallery, check their usernames and check that they are from the same person. it is hard to maintain and to continually moderate, so just check back in a few days. And if that person has their galleries still up, that should be fine. Rubberslug may find out at a later date, but for now, as you have a gallery at the moment, I don't think that there is anything worry about.

I also agree with kittens in that it would take up rubberslug bandwidth and that's why they need donations from time to time. And that it is in the rules.

So far, RS is free. So you have to follow the rules.
If I am not mistaken, RS has its own complaint section which will take care of such matters.

The fact is, RS is a free webhost. Someone has to pay for it. There is no reason to have more than one gallery, anyway. If you want to pay for your own site, you are more than welcome to have different sections dedicated to your favorite seires, etc. But when you have an RS site, it's only right to abide by their rules. I'm sure if they knew that other people are hording more than one site, they would crack down on them as well. Just my thoughts.

Like everybody else has remarked, it's most probable that nobody at RS knows that this person has 2 galleries.

Honestly, if someone wants to have 2 or more galleries on RS it's not that difficult to do. Creating more than one identity is easy, and nobody would find about it unless you tell them. So you cannot expect the people on RS to find out unless you go shouting it where they can hear you.

Anyway, don't know why people would like to have more than one gallery given that RS has no space limitations, oh yeah, with 2 galleries you can have 2 different setups for your homepage, but that doesn't seem a good reason to me.

I understand if RS doesn't want people to have two Galleries, due to the space and money that it costs them, in fact none of us would like it if we had to pay for it.
Even if I did get to make another RS Gallery, then I don't think that I would do it, since I like it the way it is now.
I think my Proboards Gallery looks nice, even though it actually should be a Message Board!

It's probably like Soda first said,that they don't know yet that the Galleries are from the same person.
Otherwise I wouldn't know why they would keep these two online, and not mine.
Who knows, there may be more people that have two RS Galleries!

Oh, and when I look at the current poll status, it seems that most people find me an idiot.

Yup, I agree with the rest of them. The fact that its free to begin with. . . I would think having two galleries is taking advantage of the situation.

You're the one that put the word "idiot" in the option. What else could we chose if we didn't want call you an idiot but still tell you to combine your galleries?

Combine them for our sakes so we can browse all your stuff at the same time.

I agree with everyone SSK, RS is free and therefore we should obey their rules and only have one gallery.
I'm convinced RS doesn't know that person has two sites, but I'm amazed you went through all the trouble finding this out and posting it here. It must mean that you're still upset by having to close down your other RS gallery.

Personally, I'd prefer it if you would combine your galleries.
Since I'm not a DB fan I hardly ever visit your gallery since it only has DB cels.
If you added cels from other series it would make it more interesting for me to visit.

No, I'm not, and it was a total coincidence that I found out.
I read it in his latest update announcement.

Anyway, I'm still not planning to put all my Cels in one Gallery right now.
Maybe someday, but at the moment I like it the way it is.
