E's

Post by kisara »

Okay. 'Cause the 2nd volume of Saiyuki Double Barrel hasn't been released yet (and they kind of screw you once you buy it. After that ya have to either buy one disc with eps you've already seen, or buy the next one where you miss two), and because the 1st volume of Gravitation is, apparently, impossible to find. . . I got E's. (lol lil' glimpse at how my silly mind works) ANYHOO. . .

Have to say, wasn't real excited about the first few eps. Kinda. . . nothing real original. Kinda like X and Dragonball (with the flying power-sphere-thinga- mabobbers :P) all rolled-up. . . oh, oh, and the one chick looks just like Sailor Moon. . . losing thought. . . Oh. . . Yes, the bishie factor was enough though, so I kept a watchin'. And I'm glad I did. :D

Again, storyline isn't the most original. But it is fun. I'm likin' the relationship developing between Kai and Yuki, (Oh, I was most amused w/ the ep that had Kai in drag!) and I must say that the ending's got me really wantin' to know what's gonna happen with Asuka and Kai. :D

Anyhoo. .. There it is. My first impression of E's. Now I can comfortably go to bed knowing that this lil' blurb will forever live in my beloved beta so I can come-back later and do the "WTF was that about?!" Ah, first impressions. *sigh*

Now. Sleep. . .

*looks at dvd comments*ok, what crack ass bootlegger are you buying from? or what company that's releasing them?

i know that gravitation is in abundance over at animecornerstore. as for reload, the 1st dvd or eps 1-4, is all that has been released in the us. they havent gotten to gunlock. dear gods why do i get the feeling that will take forever.

lol, Kira. I wasn't looking online. That was my little adventure in the city yesterday. I'd checked multiple stores (Best Buy, Suncoast, Borders, etc.) not one of them had vol. 1 of it. Everything but. . . not vol. 1 *sighs*

As far as Saiyuki. I was talking about Gensomaden. Double Barrel has the 10 eps. per 2-disc set. Where as, the first ones (discs) they released, have 4 eps on each disc. Therefor, if you start watching with Double Barrel, you're screwed to buy the individual volumes, 'cause you either have to buy a disc that has two eps you've already seen, or buy the next vol. and end-up missing two eps. See?

haven't really watched the series but saw the double barrel and thought about starting, lemme get this strait

orig dvd release vol1 ep 1-4, vol 2 5-8, vol3 9-12, etc
double barrel, vol1 ep 1-10, (thats all thats out or thats all that is coming out?)

so if you buy double barrel then you have ep 1-10 you can buy vol 3 (full price and get 11-12(plus 2 you already have) or skip to vol4 and miss vol3 and ep 11-12. If they arn't doing any more double barrel discs that sucks. how many eps in the series

Correct, indy. And they just started releasing Double Barrel, so it's just vol. 1 for now (they are releasing all of Gensoumaden on it. It's supposed to be "collector's edition" of it.) *sighs* I reckon I'll have to work-on "patience." :D I think there was 50 something in Gensoumaden.

seen reload for sell at animecornerstore online and nothing like that is in the 1st reload volume. it just has the first 1-4 episodes for reload nothing from gs. that's weird.

go here:

when you say double barrel, do you mean reload or gunlock?

"Double Barrel" is the re-release of Gensoumaden (i.e. collector's ed.) "Double Barrel" cause they're being released in two-disc sets.

To bring this back to E's, I have only seen the freebee ep. in Newtype, but I was looking at the gengas at Museum and already bought some. I looked in Rubberslug for people with collections and there are some nice ones. Anime Jewel has a pretty big one and she has several of Kai in drag. I looked again in Museum, and there I found 2 more Kai in drag drawings! I bought one, but there's one left if you are interested. You only have to sift through 500 plus items!

Teehee. I just made a big ol' order of "E's" from museum. :D I got one of Kai in drag too (the one where he's knealt down in-front of Asuka. Was that the one?)!!! I love it!!!

You should watch it, vapalla. I really do like it.

No, I didn't spot that one. You either bought it before I went through, or I missed it among the 500 +! Mine is a close-up of his face.

I actually ordered a drawing before I even saw the 1st ep. I saw this one of Shen-lon and HAD to have it!
