So do General Cel Discussion non-poll topics older than one year automatically get deleted or is that just where the topics ended up getting trimmed down to?
I'm going to miss some of info those topics. I should have written that stuff down earlier.
I kind of glad you deleted the topic discussing poop though. LOL
The Doctor : … and then, just to finish off, I’m going to wipe every last stinking Dalek out of the sky !
Dalek : But you have no weapons ! No defenses ! No plan !
The Doctor : Yeah ! And doesn’t that scare you to death ?
I just pruned all the forums of threads with no updates for 366 days. The database behind Beta was growing to several hundred megs in size and a lot of it was those old threads. Keeping the DB small saves webspace on the host and speeds the forum up, so I periodically clean it.
I did lose some threads I didn't intend to so I will have to dig them out of an old backup. I dump the database to disk once a month just in case.
If you have a specific thread you would like restored, send me a PM and I will try to find it.

I will see if I can find and restore them. It may take a little time as I have to rebuild my test db engine, but I need to do that anyway. I have database backups going back 2 years so I'm sure I have those threads. Let me see what I can do.

The Three Laws of Robotics:
1. A robot may not injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.
