What a coincidence, I am single too.

That double spacing thing is old and outdated by computers and modern fonts. However, if your teacher tells you to double space, I heartily recommend that you do it while in his/her class.

That is a hypothetical question.

I agree with Moop. If you teacher wants you do double space you should do it(at least while in his/her class). I was taught single space and thats what I stick to.

^ And just to clarify, here's a fairly definitive article on the utterly enthralling subject of spacing:

Firstly, I agree with the others. You should do whatever your teacher wishes. Secondly, to my knowledge, how you space is dependent entirely on what you are writing and who you are writing it for. There is no one correct way.

First, let me say... LMAO!!! :hitting:

Anyway, going back on the subject, I agree that you should do what your teacher has advised you to do, regardless. ^.^ I use single spaces myself.

I learned two... but the class used typewriters. I feel like I just dated myself.

Stupid unforgiving typewriters...

Don't worry.. I'm right there with you :D I learned two spaces on those stupid loud typewriters, but now I'm a writer for a living, and I only use one space most of the time :P

I use two spaces and I never knew that people had stopped doing that. 8O Strange.
It's much easier to read with two spaces after every sentence.

er. . . d'oh. Just realized thisthread wasn't about "line spacing."

I've always gone with one and have never been told to do otherwise. of course, there were word processors a plenty by the time I made it high school.
