New April 2005 anime

Post by Keropi »

Does anyone know of a webpage that describes the new April anime shows coming out?

Usually there's one posted at AnimeOnDVD Forum, but it's not there this year. I don't see a list of new anime at rec.arts.anime.misc either.

Anyone have any idea what "Marchen Awakens Romance", "Fushigi Hoshi Futago Hime", "Koikoi7" are about? I really have no idea since I never read anime magazines or even AnimeOnDVD/Anime News Network anymore. :sweatdrop

The only site I know of that lists all the new shows is:

http://www.andrewlb.com/fansub/pukiwiki ... ing%202005

Its primarily a site that shows which groups are subbing the shows, but it does usually link every show to its homepage.

Cool thanks! That definitely helps.

Fushigi Hoshi Futago Hime looks to be a cute shoujo series.

Too bad I can't get Koikoi7's homepage link to work. X|

So Ichigo 100 Percent is going to be a TV series eh? The last I heard it was going to be an OVA. Now why couldn't they have adapted "Pretty Face" instead of "Ichigo 100 Percent"? I liked Pretty Face a lot better than Ichigo 100 Percent. Maybe the jokes in Pretty Face were harder to adapt to a TV series than Ichigo's. The Pretty Face manga was hilarious though. :(

LOL ok I just read that page all the way and found they are making a Taiko Drum Master anime. (Taiko Drum Master is a game, not unlike DDR or Guitar Freaks, only...you play a Taiko Drum.) If anyone here has played it......there are these random dog and I guess eel characters who pop up and dance while you are playing, but I have no clue how they could possibly make this into an anime. Well, I guess they made a Beyblades anime so........anything is possible? ;)

Edit: Taiko Drum Master in.....claymation! http://www.nikkatsu.com/times/column/taiko/ Too bad no one is gonna sub it. I might actually watch it. :D

That is really unusual. 8O

Someone at work today was wondering how they are going to turn Beck into a video girl. But "Taiko Drum Master" is in a completely different league eh. :)

MAR ~ Marchen Awakens Romance:

On first glance this anime appears to be something adapted from a game because it contains semi-parody jokes of RPG game type events. I didn't like the main character too much though. He has too much energy, yells out everything he says and runs around everywhere he goes. The only thing that interested me at all about this anime is the character designs of the girl he met up with in the "fantasy" world.

Oh well...time to check out Koikoi7. :D

EDIT:

Okay Koikoi7 wasn't for me either. I'm not much into school girl fighting farces in my old age. :emb

There's a 'new' anime that I'm trying to find some info on. I'm unsure just how new it is but my bro pointed it out on a website and said it looked cool. Don't know trhe name otherwise I'd be able to find it out myself...

From what I can remember it's like an anime version of Rival Schools or the Korean film Volcano High. Get the picture? Schoolmates who do battle against each other/other schools etc.
Do you have any idea what this is? I wish I can add more of a description but that's all I know...

Thanks

EDIT: OK I found it- Cromartie High School! Now I need to find some more info about it, looks cool...
Out of the gloom a voice said unto me;
"Smile and be happy, things could be worse".
So I smiled and was happy
and behold;
things did get worse...

Cromartie High School has been out for a while, and is already / will soon be out on DVD in the US. http://animenfo.com/animetitle,1272,qzy ... _crom.html is a little info on it.

Cromartie High School is out. First DVD at least.

As for Taiko... wow... That is odd. I like the game (slight workout) but would also watch it... hmm... wonder if anybody will supply the raw video. =P

I haven't been keeping up with anime or fansub news. Has "Gokujou Seitokai" and "He is My Master" been picked up? Are they rumored to have been picked up or have fansubbers been asked not to fansub these shows?

I can't find English fansubs of either show or BT raws of episode 2.

I've heard that "He is My Master" is being worked on by at least one group of fansubbers.

Heard Froth-Bite was going to work on it, but can't find any information saying that they are.

I was able to get the second episode of "He is My Master". I'm not sure what language it's subbed in though. I think it's Korean, but with the font they're using it's hard to tell. The show looks pretty cool in wide screen.

Didn't "Witch Hunter Robin" have a wide screen version of it or am I confusing it with "Gunslinger Girl"?

There must be a lot of college students taking tests right now eh? :(
