I would sell them to buy better cels. That's what im trying to do now....im trying to sell some of my cels in order to buy better cels.

I have no plans to sell any of them. The only reason that I could see out of
the ones you listed was if some catastrophe happens and I needed the
money, so that's what I voted for.

Depends on which ones. Some of them I would sell to buy better cels, some for money when I'm DESPERATE but most of my important ones would ONLY go if something DRASTIC were to happen to in my family or a sudden life change.... otherwise they're staying with me for as long as I live and maybe passed down if that happens. I like the idea of keeping things in the family, especially PRECIOUS things that are important to me... even if it wasn't in my family to begin with ^-^'

When I read your poll options I thought - "Life Change"

I mean...I've stopped collecting in a quite a few hobbies, but I've only sold off like three items. So...your question...at its core...would require me to change my way of thinking before I'd sell a decent amount of stuff off. It's not that I'm not open to selling stuff. It's just that I've never had any feeling about doing it. Maybe it can be considered more like "putting it off".

So I maybe...if I see a psychologist and he/she told me to get my life organized and start by cleaning out my room. That would be a good time for me to start parting with a good chunk of stuff. Other than something like that happening though I can't see myself selling off more than onesies and twosies of collectibles. I think this is not a good trait of mine because I could have sold off things back when I could have made a decent amount from them and that was when I knew I was losing interest in them. Instead however I waited and now the collectibles have less people that would want them now.

the only one i can think about now is "sell to get better cels", but the order of the events will be the opposite as the one you suggest. I mean, first i'll get the better cel and then i can sell the one/s i don't need any more.

I mean, i ussually purchase cels from same scenes/outfits than the ones i already have, just because i like the new ones more, but i don't take the risk to sell the one i have first until i have the new one on my hands.

Id sell some cels to get better ones. But I have alot of cels I wont sell at all. Unless something was to come up like a family problem Or something along those lines. I dont see me getting rid of any of my "wishlist" cels at all.

Occasionally I might consider selling a couple of a particular show or character if I managed to snag a really fine replacement. Oh, and I just noticed that Darksuzaku said the same thing.

BUT the primary reason I can think of would be if I needed money.

I've also been known to sell cels if I developed a lack of interest in the show.

I went for "need money", but the need would have to be great.
I still have few enough cels that I go through and snuggle them all a couple times a month just so they don't forget that I love them.

I cannot find an option

I sold one cel before for donating $$$ to ASPCA. All cash went there when I sold my kenshin cel. This is the only time.

But after this, I miss the cel soooooooooooooooooooooooo much and I decided "not to sell" anymore

Soooooooooooooooooooooo even though I stop collecting them I do not think I will sell cels. Probably when I am dead my cels are sold (my hubby will sell them probably )

Looks like I'm in the majority. It becomes remarkably easy to sell those buggers when you're painfully broke and have found another cel that just. . . Awful, aren't I?

I only sell the cels I have lost interest in, mostly because I want to limit my collecting habits to only buying higher quality cels from the shows I really, really enjoy.
