DBGT Ups and Downs

Since many people say that DBGT isnt all that and others say it is.
For the people who dont like it...What dont you guys like and what do you guys think should have been changed?
And for the people who like it...What do you guys like about it?

Well I love the GT series. The reasons are..

1. Goku as a kid but being able to turn into a Super Saiyan
2. The ability to turn Super Saiyan 4
3. The villians are alot better and you get to see some old ones
4. Some new heroes (Pan, Majuub etc...)
5. The ending to the whole Dragonball series

The two things I don't like about GT is that when Goku, Pan, and Trunks are looking for the Blackstar Dragonballs during the lost episodes and the next thing is that it's always Goku defeating the villians and everyone else are getting bitched. It would have been nice see Vegeta to defeat someone.

I agree with the ups mentioned above. The downs I can think of are two....what they did to Trunks and Pan. The artwork.....the personalities......the power (lacking). Just lame.

That's what put me off too. At first it felt like a back to basics story of the earliest DB-arc, which wasn't a bad choice by itself.
But I asked myself the same question over and over : why aren't the heroes just kicking everyone's @$$ ?

Downs:

Artwork - to me it looked more like a kids show.
Chibi Goku - enough with that already, they just tried to revive the Dragonball glory days, which in my opinion, failed miserably.
Pan - horribly annoying girl. She made me want to turn off the volume on my HT set (and that's something..)
Trunks and Gohan - They made them look like an ubernerd and total wuss.
Bad storyline - the first episodes just drag on and on and on and on and on...

And I agree with the total lack of power; at the end of DBZ they all had the power to blow up complete galaxies in their left pinkies alone...so what happened?

Downs:

(1) What's up with Chibi Goku....is he retarded or what?
(2) Gohan, Trunks and Pan.......are they retarded? ps. when did trunks turn gay?
(3) Why the heck did they skip SSJ3 Vegeta......are the producers retarded?
(4) Goku losing to the skinny kid at the last tournement.....one of the strongest fighters in the universe lost to a retard?
(5) What was up with the graphics? Were the animators retarded?

I can go on and on and on and on.....my conclusion is that a drunk/high toad, can probabely come up with a better series while asleep.

It still has the sense of humor maintained throughout the dragonball series

Downs:
Well....
The villains for starters....I wasn't really impressed with Doc Mew...or his ontourage. Although I kind of got back into the series with Android 17 coming back....but it was short lived...
The lack of some of my favorite characters (what happened to Gohan, Goten, and Vegeta in this series (at least at the beginning)....)
Trunks....my favorite in DBZ even as a kid, but GT....what were they thinking?

Well, I can't think of anything bad about DBGT at the moment, but that's just me I guess!

I like DBGT just as much as DB and DBZ!

I wasnt really much of a fan of GT, I watched it when then showed the dubbed version on toonami here in the UK.

I disliked the style of artwork.
I hated the voices(but as i said it was the dubbed version)
The music was kak.

Just what the hell did they do to trunks and Gohan???
and i dont even want to start about Pan I hated her character in Gt and that damn robot Gil.

Hercule was still great though and I did like the fact that Buu and Uub fused I didnt think that that character was used enough in it his power should have been emmense.

I liked the idea for the final story of the dragonballs being used to much, but i didnt actually enjoy the story itself.

All in all not good in my opinion.

Downs:

Boring storyline- been there, done that. How 'bout something *different* like Gohan/Trunks kicking some... er... monster tushie?

Pan- just absolutely annoying. Is there ONE female who isn't totally annoying in the ENTIRE Dragonball series?

Bra- Why isn't there more of her? Female version of Vegeta... can so imagine the attitude- you should so want to be on her side.

Trunks- Er... yeah... what the hell is up with the ascot, people? And SHORTS? What happened to my beautiful ROSAT Trunks-type? Dammit- if this is the Trunks of the future, I want the Andriods back!

Vegeta- Moustache... EW!

Gohan- What the heck? GLASSES? Saiyans don't need GLASSES! What the heck is up with that? And whipped beyond belief... seriously....

Older DBZ characters- Ugh. Old, decrepid people who remind me of some aging actors trying to vie for a few seconds of air time on Hollywood Squares. Give it up, you're old, you're going to die and you'll never be the main character.

Artwork- Ick. Ew. I would say that my students could do better, but they'd be offended by being compared to GT.

Vegeta in leather. He should always wear leather.

Personally I would have liked to have seen the main characters be shoved into some wierd vortex in some alternate dimension where they couldn't change into Super Saiyans anymore and had to rely strictly on strategy and training. And Vegeta wouldn't have anything to wear but leather. The main baddy might not be that horrible, but they have to really work in order to beat him because of their disadvantage. And Vegeta would have to wear leather a lot. And Trunks would have to grow out his hair... and Vegeta would have to wear leather. All the time.

Yes, that would have been a good storyline. I should submit that....

Don't forget the colors. Everything seems to be in a pastel color and filmed with a fuzzy layer over the top.
