I've picked up a couple on ebay for other manga (Angel Sanctuary and Kenshin), but haven't seen any for Bleach yet...
o_O.... dont buy scalations on eBay.. its a major ripoff.. unless you want to pay for not having to download the managa and put it on disks. The scalation groups do it for free, and all include a "this is a free scalation not for sale or eBay" thingy with each release. Anyway as to where to get scalations.... I will make a new thread later today with all the details and sites ^_^

I was watching some of the earlier episodes of Bleach today. What I took a special interest in noticing was that even early in the anime (such as episode 9) they were indirectly referring to things that we discover later on in the manga.

If you know the stuff that gets known later in the story it brings a new level of depth and poignancy to the scenes we seen at the start of the anime. :l

So getting back to the guy that showed up in episode 9...was he in a particular squad or was he a freelancer of some kind?

He was an anime only character. He doesn't appear in the manga. I have no idea why they felt the need to add him. :x

Weird...you mean all that stuff happened without him even being there?

Strange. :?

Looking back at it...he does seem somewhat out of place.

If you notice, he pretty much gets knocked out as soon as any action starts
so that he doesn't interfere with the plot. I don't really know why they felt
that they needed to add him as he didn't add anything to the story. I had
thought at the time that maybe they were bringing in a future plotline from
the manga early, but doesn't appear to be the case.

I really enjoyed episode 31. Already knew what was going to happen, but it's still fun watching it.

I look forward to seeing the closings every week too since they're diffirent every week. Too bad we don't to see many of the captains and vice-captains in action, but at least we get to see them in the closing of the anime. Soi Fong looks like a pretty cool character. She got stuck with a pretty dorky guy for a vice-captain though. lol :P

Geez...how tall is that guy anyway? 8O

Minor Spoiler if you haven't seen up to Bleach episode ?16-24 or so:
Do they explain in the manga why Rukia was adopted?
Or is it a huge spoiler I'm better off not knowing? :)

That information was just revealed in the most recent manga chapter and is something of a spoiler because of the events leading up to the revelation of the information. ^^;; I can PM you the information if you want and just leave out the stuff leading up to it... ??

Ha, and you guys thought I was doing this so I could get stuff for other people??!! mwahahaha *does the happy discount dance* Ahem. Sorry. :P
HA! So I caved and I just spent the last two-days in Bleach goodness.

Just finished ep. 38. (I'm all caught-up! Woohoo!) I love it! Love, love, LOVE it! It's bishielicious, good action, little romance, little comedy. Almost perfect. Did get annoyed by a few of the flashback eps. and ep. 32 (was it?) just 'cause. . . I'm really likin' the action and ya just want it to keep moing, ya know?

I was contemplating it yesterday (yes, I contemplate deeply about my anime) and I was thinking, "Gawd, what a simple story it really is." "Princess stuck in a tower. Heroic, hansome prince on his way to rescue her." But it's done in such an oh so cool way. Reminded me of WHY I love anime to begin with. :D

Now back to the bishies! Ichigo is just. . . cool. Love, love, LOVE him. And then there's Ishida. . . I soooo loved the ep. where he and Inoue were on the roof and poor little Inoue, just being sucked into his bishieness and, for a moment, I almost thought I could like him more than Ichigo, but then it immediately went to an action scene of Ichigo looking way cool and. . . nope. Ichigo's it. And Sado. Just wanna tackle-glomp the big ol' softy. Soooooooo many bishies!

(uh. . . don't pound me for not using the spoiler button. I think I was obscure enough, no?)

ANYHOOOO. . .

I'll now be waiting anxiously with the rest of ya for the next ep. :D

How did I NOT see this thread sooner???? Arrrrgh!

I've been a huge Bleach fan since the fansubs started pouring out. Every Wednesday I scour the fansubbing groups for updates, since A-keep is taking their sweet time with updates. I currently have all the manga, (God bless bit torrent) but I haven't purused it quite yet.

This is another show for me where I love all the characters. My favorites are probably Ichigo, Ishida (just because he uses a bow and arrow), and Toushiro! *glomps Rob for avatar* Renji is definitely becoming a favorite. I won't say why but for spoilers.

And yes Rob, I am stalking you.

I'm terribly enjoying this show myself! I adore Ichigo, and it's been a while since I saw a show where the main character was my favorite. I like his terminally furrowed brows, impatience and nonchalant attitude. All this and he's actually a nice guy! I'm so glad for whoever posted the links to those pre-order plushies. I'm gonna have an Ichigo plush collection soon. :D

Unfortunately, like most shows with a ton of characters, I get wrapped up in the events and can't keep track of the names at all.

I love Urahara (I think that's right), hat and all. They really need to spend some more time on him.

As for the Shingami, I'm really enjoying the devious purple haired squinty guy. It might have to do with that fact that something about him reminds me a great deal of Hisoka from HxH. Anyone else sort of get that sense? I also love the kid... I forget his name but I'm really like him. And I rarely like the kid in any anime, so it's a nice change.

The best thing so far is that none of the characters really annoy me. Often I end up not loving an anime because of the one or two characters I can't stand than all the ones I like. I can't wait to see how this story progresses.

Episode 38 is down downloading! Good thing I have a spare 24 minutes right now. :)
Namaste

He's always going to be the purple haired squinty guy to me now. And yes, he does remind me a little of Hisoka. Just as creepy.
