Genre of animation

What genre of animation do you guys prefer? Such as action, romance, horror, etc.

I like action packed animation. Love the intensity in it.

I like a variety of stuff, but typically I like the action ones best; action titles with story. Most of the shows that I really like deal with magical armors and have a basic good vs. evil theme. I typically don't like the cutsie shows that tend to have SD charas all over the place. A little bit of that goes a long way. I like the more darker shows, too. Love stories are okay (as in Karekano) but they won't be my favs... generally speaking, of course. There's always room for exceptions.

I would never have guessed!!

I like anything -- so long as it involves good storytelling. Well-developed characters, internal consistency, etc. Action is good so long as it is backed by a solid story. Same with humor, love stories, mech tales, horror... for me it's like watching a book. I wouldn't finish a book that didn't have a good story, and my time's equally valuable for watching stuff.

[I also sometimes get suckered into something because it has fabulous background music and great art, but if there's not a good story it will lose its staying power in what passes for my memory these days.]

My favorites are drama, action, and the dark/confusing kind.

I did have a bigger list, but these are the main ones. Plot is the main deciding factor of whether or not I'll watch something though.

I am more drawn to the comedy animes Ranma 1/2 ,Love Hina , Excel Saga & Galaxy Angel.

I also enjoy those that have an engaging story like Saikano, Ai Yori Aoshi, Kiddy Grade and Tsukihime Lunar Legend.

I enjoy action anime but action without a solid story loses my interest quickly.

I go for bishoujo anime, shounen romances, action dramas and real-life dramas in that order.

By "bishoujo anime" I mean the term as it was used 3-4 years ago, not the way it's usually used now.

"Ren'ai game anime" is not a genre or else I would say that one.

Is "hentai" anime a genre?

For me, it's all about the characters. As long as they are unique, wonderfully written and played to perfection, I'm happy to see them in just about any genre.

Well judging by you tag artwork one might have been surprised if you said your favorite was romantic anime's

I'm into action, mech (sci-fi type stuff, of course!), and just about anything with a good storyline and well-developed characters.

Basically, everything from Dirty Pair Flash to .hack//SIGN and then some.

To be blunt and honest I'd say Cyberpunk, Jidai Geki (Samurai Swordplay) and Hentai. *Meh*

I've yet to find a movie that encompasses all three types, ha ha ha!

I'd say I'm into a mix of quite a lot. Action, adventure, comedy, and some romance. I also like horror... in moderation though. ^_^ (Don't wanna keep waking up from anime nightmares!

) Hm... what else...? Suspense! It surely keeps me wanting to see more and more!
