I'm still not quite sure what has been going on as I haven't been on Beta much lately. But from what I can tell people are not thinking before they post or maybe are abusing the "Freedom of Speech" law. Consideration must be taken in before voicing your opinion. From my OWN bad experience with Beta and misunderstandings I can say that Opinions are not the TRUTH and posting instead of speaking verbally can be a double-edge sword if people view things differently. So there is a fine line between voicing your opinion, and stepping over boundries by being inconsiderate of others feelings.

I agree that becuase it was not a "Cel Collector Sound-Off" Thread that it shouldn't have dragged on that far. From my own experience again; PM directly works better than playing Post Wars in public on a topic that has nothing to do with it. If problems continue to rise or whatever that's what the "Ignore" list is for, to keep people from being scared to voice their opinions or going on posting attacks.

This is one of the very few forums that I still enjoy posting on and very few forums where I like alot of the people there. I hope that it continues to a place where Cel Collectors can support one another and can leave pity bickering and flaming out the door where it belongs.

With that said I would like to say "I'm sorry it happened" to everyone directly involved (Momo, IGWT, Unede and DW) and to people indirectly involved as well (Mods, adm. and fellow members)

LinaLon, you have written out what i have been trying to phrase since morning till now. I had the hardest time phrasing what I felt and what you said describes it perfectly....except I was also considering leaving beta for reasons that I would not want to discuss.

But thank you for your opinion. I definitely feel the same. I hope that we (the anime beta family) can learn from our mistakes and improve ourselves in order to be a better and more loving beta community

I have read all the posts (yes, I have nothing to do at work) and have formulated this opinion on the whole matter:

Tempers got out of hand but it definitely didn't reach the level of many other flame wars I've seen. All of the hurt feelings seem to have come from a feeling of betrayal but I think that many eloquent apologies from all sides (.....well.....most sides anyway) have come down and there is a general feeling that everyone wants to be nice and get along. So lets just shut up and get to getting along!!!!

I love everyone here!!! (well....almost everyone) and would hate to see anyone I haven't been ignoring for several weeks anyway leave!!!!! (((((((BIG HUGS)))))))))

I hereby decree that any further pissiness on this matter will not be tolerated upon pain of a sound thrashing from my absurdly huge anime mallet. And it's packed right now so I'm gonna be good and mad if someone makes me dig it out from under the futon matress and my box of assorted snacks!!!

hmm I have to admit I saw both those threads in their beginnings but didn't really follow them.. to think they started such a disturbance! I'll have to read them in their entirety later (busy busy!) before I know what to think on these matters.

One thing I can say is though:

You mods and admins do a good, no, excellent job around here, don't feel bad for missing one thing, mistakes happen

I haven't said anything on this, nothing i felt i could really add... nothing that hasn't been said already. but eh, i shall give my opinion... or what little i have of one after getting home from a 12hr shift. like a couple of people i didn't pay too close attention to the two threads listed, might have posted in one. i gotta say the whole turn of events really makes me sad. I'd like to see this all get put behind us.

Personally it seems the Mods are doing a really decent job around here.. (especially in comparison to some of the other forums i've gone to)... they won't be able to see everything.... perhaps starting a section, where Beta users can post links to posts that they find questionable... Then the mods can check the section and look at the questionable post, and make whatever action they deem worthy. Not trying to make things police like, or tattle tale like... but perhaps something like that could help prevent situations like this from reappearing??? if my idea's been stated already, just proof it's a good one!

but if i hasn't, and it's a bad idea... blame it on the tiredness from working 12hrs, and running 2 lines for 7hrs. yeah, that's it.

I love Beta and it's members, wanna see get put under, learning experience.... then put behind us.
