It's being played at Century Roseville ( the nearest location to me ) and at the UA on Arden, and UA Laguna.
Thanks. Wow, seems that it is playing in more theaters nearby than I originally thought. Too bad I was sick this weekend and got the message that you guys went on Saturday. How was it?

*Will go watch it on his own one of these days, when he's feeling better*

Since nowhere in Central CA plays the movie, I'll try to watch it when I'm at AX. I finally got to see a snatch of the trailer the other day. I can't wait! :)

T'wasn't me that went, for no one ever got back to me on it ( phoo, I see how it is ) but I had to work Saturday, anyway. I've already seen the movie twice in Japanese, so I can assure you it's good ^_^x

Marie and I went to the Arden location and met Japoro there. It was a really good movie! Definetly gonna buy it when it comes out.

Saw the movie on Sunday and loved it! Howl's also been officially added to my daughter's growing list of anime boys she has a crush on. I really want to hear it in japanese, though (especially to hear Takuya Kimura as Howl) so I'll be buying it for sure.

X| Sorry Maiko and Yoshito, the trip was kind of set to my schedual as to when I would be in Sacramento, and was set up very quickly with NSP. Will have to give a little more advance warning next time.

As everyone else has said, it really is a great story, and most definately worth seeing on the big screen if you have the chance.

I went to go see this movie yesterday and was immediately smitten. Fantastic! I agree with several people that this is probably not Miyazaki's best or even most profound work, but it is the kind of story that appeals to me even more than the most imaginative moral fable he could devise. I haven't fallen so hard for a movie in a long, long time. Yay! And word to whoever said
Howl is dead smexy!
LOL!

And just as a PSA: I have been *trying* to abstain from cels/sketches (and that means anime too, because watching anime is like window shopping for the ol' collection) while I bought my house. I have actually been a little angel, but I think the recent episodes of Samurai Champloo are encouraging me to come out of retirement. :O

HOWL'S MOVING CASTLE!!!!!

Love it ... love it ... love it!!!

I agree with the others who have said this is probably not Miyazaki's most profound work. But, let me hasten to add that it is also my favorite Studio Ghibli movie so far. I have seen the movie twice, and, hopefully, will see it a third time tomorrow. YAY!

My main problem is going to be waiting for the silly thing to come out on DVD. I can't wait to see the Japanese version.

I can't believe how completely and totally smitten I was with this movie. I'm an obsessed little addict, I tell 'ya! I've already been making Howl's Moving Castle wallpaper for my computer, and cruising ebay and YJ for Howl-related items to fill my "need". I have an artbook and some pretty, pretty lobby cards heading my way in the near future.

But, for the first time ever in connectoin with a Studio Ghibli film, I want production artwork! *cries* Why??? Why??? Why did I have to love this movie so much that I would dream such an impossible dream??? *cries some more*

I'm really sad to find now much artwork for Howl has really made its way onto the internet yet. There are like a dozen press released pics from it floating around on 50 bazillion sites, but I can't find much other than that. I'm probably going to buy the Viz released artbook when it comes out on the 5th. Such beautiful animation in this movie. :l :l :l

I also really want some production art from it, or at least a repro cel. I'm hoping the Ghibli Museum will come out with some during the time that I'm in Japan. If they do, I can hook you guys up. :P

Hee...tex-chan, I am equally obsessed! The thirteen-year-old girl in my is all a-squee over the movie. :D

Elendil, if everything falls into place that way, I will definitely look you up and beg for a repo. *grin*

"We will watch you with great interest."

I have been watching everywhere looking for some artwork, if you do see some I would happily pay for you to get it. Was at J-town last week and they had an entire table for Miyazaki's work with lots of artbooks. Almost bought one, and was slightly happy to see an ojiichan looking at one.

I know that I personally have been really excited thinking about repro cels for Howl, and I know that the Ghibli Museum is pretty much the primary source for buying them (Y!J being a secondary source...) so I will be watching them and probably contacting them frequently about that while I'm in Japan (Sept-Apr.). So if anyone finds out when they get in repros (I'm assuming they will....hoping they will!!) please tell me because I'll be on the next train over there to buy one. And I am definitely willing to purchase some for others as well, so you aren't left to the uncertainty that is auction bidding. :D

God I loved this movie and would kill for a repro of Howl! He is so dreamy. I liked that there was sort of actually a love story in this one. Dreamy.

OOOOH! I would definitely be interested in this, if you are willing, Elendil! I'll have to keep an eye out on this thread or beta, in general, to see if anyone catches any coming out.
