Ok when this thread started I hadn't even heard of bleach before. Now I'm on the 4th manga and I love it.

So how far had they gotten into the manga when the Bleach anime was announced as being in production? Was it around this point in the anime?

I can understand the Bleach manga fans jubilant sense of enthusiasm if they knew what the story was up to this part.

But I'm wondering how many people that only watch the anime knew what might occur around now. I mean they dropped hints throughout the anime, but I think it would have been hard to link them all together. Those small hints they dropped don't seem related to each other except in retrospect. I doubt I would have been able to figure things out on my own.

Episode 40 SPOILER:

I mean anime-only watchers being able to figure out the plot concerning Ganju's brother. They dropped hints about him in the anime in different places, but you wouldn't know they were about him except in retrospect.

Sorry to make two posts in a row, but minglong has all the Bleach OPs and EDs available for download (well, except for the most recent ED). Just thought some of you might be interested in knowing.

IMO bleach isnt that good, especially that corny western song that kicks in in fight scenes lately. its gotten better now that ichigo is fighting other shinigami but the first 20 or so episodes were filler crap.

the opening and endings are real good, with the exception of the latest ending of "happy people" crap.

MINOR BLEACH SPOILER if you haven't seen up to episode 23 or so:

What happens when someone dies in Soul Society? Does a "non-execution death" in Soul Society cause a person's soul to get reincarnated back on Earth or Soul Society and an "execution death" cause the person's soul to be completely eliminated forever?

its my understanding that if you die in the soul society, your soul is gone for good. but i havent read the manga past the current ep so i dont know for sure.

Ok - I have started watching Bleach. I am only through
the first 3 eps, and it seems pretty decent so far. But,
is it just me - or is the beginning music absolutely
horrible.

I agree with Gabe. I really like the OP music (in fact, I really like all the music in the series in general).

However, that just might be due to my blind and all encompassing love for Bleach.

ETA: To Keropi and MV... that's what I understand happens as well.
