I estimated $8-10K, (the last time I actually counted, it was 6, but that was pre-Kenshin).

But that might be low.

Lordy, if we counted all the figures and posters and shitaki I could have bought out the car loan by now. And replaced that carpet I'm always cheesing about.

How much is a souped up Ferrari anyway?
There's a difference between how much I've paid for cels and how much they're now worth. Jon and I counted up how much our Mezzo Forte collections are worth and we're looking at $40,000 between us.

I'd imagine I've spent about US$80,000 but the collection is worth double that, easily. It's basically worked out that I've spent half my salery each year for the last 5 years on cels.

It's pretty terrifying when it boils down to monetary value. Like Gabe said, it's best not to think about it if possible in order to keep sane. Wait a minute, what am I saying "keep sane", I must be a raving looney already so it's not applicable

If I have a few hours spare I'll count it up properly, I need to do these for insurance purposes anyway which is sensible.

After adding up my esca gallery, my last exile sketch gallery and my husbands and my rather extensive mezzo/wordsworth/bebop/misc. collection that isn't online, its about $48,000. If I add everything up at what I'd sell it for at current market value though its double that. So that at least makes it seem a lot less painful. All and all I was expecting much worse.
Wow, that was kind of therapeutic! I should go buy more stuff!! ^___^

I'll ditto that the categories need to go into the higher ranges. I have no idea what a ferrari runs, but my total is a lot more than the $30,000 level. I have been collecting for several years now so it does add up.

Unlike what many others have posted here, I keep very detailed records for insurance reasons. (dates, scans, number of layers, price paid, shipping fees, seller, venue, damage if any, etc). I know down to the penny how much I've spent, but will take the fifth as far as declaring the grand total in public.
