How much for your entire collection?

i'm always scared to ask this to myself.....

lets see.....

i have something between 250 - 300 cels (excluding freebies) and the average price paid per cel on my collection is something around $500.

I prefer not to do the maths but i wonder how many ferraris i would be able to purchase with that.

Your "average" is $500?? What's your most expensive?

Actually, I added mine up and although it's not good, it's not nearly as bad as I was anticipating, judging by everyone else's responces. I came in slightly over the $2000 mark. (About 5% of the total cost of my gallery went to one cel - that's kinda funny.)

I don't like spending a lot on cels. So I'd say I'm less than the $500 mark right now. Haven't spent more than $100 on a cel yet.

But hey, my babies are misfits.

Ah, well, I luv 'em.

I'll love 'em even more so when I get my Ryouga from the ds.

Ah, well, even my average is $500 i have only 3 cels that go over the $1000 mark. It's just that the cels i collect seem to be all quite expensive, what means i can only afford very few cels per month.

I think only cels about 2000$ but I'm still in my first year of collecting

I try to find the cheapest Ghibli cels, but they are still rather expensive.

The strange thing about my nippon / older cels is that some dealers/sellers ask 10$ and an other 100$....

Ooookay. Finally sat down and did the math. Had to guesstimate on some since I didn't keep track of the first dozen or so that I started out my rs gallery with.
Total was around $2275
Darn near half that was just my Weiss Kreuz cels.

I kinda suspected that, but to sit down and see it...

All my Ranma's together are $935, and that makes sense since I have more of those than anything else.

So, I guess, no real surprises for me.
But I'm almost out of the hole on my allowance, so in a couple of months I will be adding to that total with gusto!

All I can say it all add up to more than I probably want to know. The CCS OPs merit a separate collecting catagory themselves. What I really would be interested in is the amount that went in shipping and deputy fees!

Believe me, forget the Ferarri (singular..just how much do you think they cost?

I so thought I would never break the $100 mark on a single cel than it kept inching up. I've only broken $200 once and I can think of no other cel I would break it again for.

$250? Go Zag. And your collection is one of my favorites. I'm always impressed with how you're able to ID some very little-known series.

Yeah, I have no life. XD I also have two kids who need to eat and all the stuff. So cels have to come pretty close to last on the "to buy" list.

I mentally counted about $15K in the current collection. Which doesn't count any fees or any of the stuff we've sold, are selling, is on it's way to us. I think if I added that all in it would probably be like $30-40k. As I'm certain we've sold at least $15k in cels if not more over the years.

Although if you split the current ammount between the 2 of us that's only 7,500 per person, that's way more reasonable right

Well, I'm a cheap person who tends to go bargain hunting...so I've spent a lot less than my collection is actually worth. But in the 2 years that I've seriously been collecting, I imagine that I could buy a cheap car...

...if I sold my collection, I could probably buy a very nice car!
