Last night I was having some problems playing an MKV file so I updated with my usual Lazy Man's Guide to OGG Media website update which is:
ffdshow - July 3rd 2005 version
Lazy Man's MKV - July 10th 2005 version = mkvinst_b97.exe
OggDS 0.9.9.5
After I installed the updates, the MKV file that was giving me problems worked fine. Well today I went and installed my GeForce 5700 LE video card. Everything works good except that all my anime files now look bad as if I'm using a very old codec or something. The video files all look very whitish as if everyone is in a thick fog, the colors almost look like something from an old CGA monitor and there is a lot bad ghosting. I've reinstalled codecs and drivers and tried to adjust the video card settings, but it always looks the same playing anime videos.
Anyone have any idea what's causing this?
