Pets! What do you have?

Post by Ronin »

It seems like there are a lot of pet owners on here and I was just wondering what everyone else has...cats seem to be the most popular! But anyway...I'm just interested I guess!! :) It seems cats and cel collecting almost go hand in hand!

I'll start the ball rolling and introduce Pepsi!

She's my cat and she's the Queen of just about everything, had her for many many years now and she's getting oldish...but anyway...here she is!

Sunbathing!

As you can see, she's a bit of a monster!

Anyway, who's next? :)

Far too many to name, but I'll try  First off is the fat tabby of the house Oliver, my puppy (and by puppy, I mean monster of a dog) who's half chow, and half sheperd: Bakka (or Chewy depending on the time of day), two turtles aptly titled pixy and dixy, and about 150 goldfish (okay I'm overestimating but it feels like 150). :D

She looks so precious! A small pic of my former kitties is posted on the main page of my rubberslug gallery. I had to find them a new home before moving. :l I also used to breed tropical fish and kept African Clawed frogs as pets, boy I miss them!! >.<
I guess at the moment my fiance is my pet, lol.

Oh oh oh! What a fun topic! :)

I have three birds, two parrotlets and a parakeet. I love them to death. Recently Atlas has been sick and I had to take him to the emergency vet a few days ago, turns out he had a respiratory infection and if I didn't bring him in he would have died. :(

But he's all better now and is acting just like his normal self! :)

I leave you all with 2 piccies!

Pepsi is ADORABLE... I know that expression!! ("Aren't I cute? Don't you want to feed me?") :D

SME!! your birds are wonderful!! Could they possibly have posed any better? great pictures!!

I'll have to find some pictures of my Crotchedy Old Ladies (tm) and post them up later. Or take new ones. We have Buffy (age 18 ) who looks a lot like Pepsi but has shorter hair... Brandy (age 18 ) who is a blonde tabby and the only 'mom' in the bunch, and Emily Pest (age 13, I think...maybe 14) my feline vest. Fotos to Follow.

Here are a few pix taken of my kitties before we moved.
Angelica is the short hair calico & Rascal (Puddy) is the long hair tabby.
As you can see from the pix, Angelica loves the spotlight but Rascal doesn't look to thrilled about it! :D Ha, ha!

Oh I love ferrets! I love watching them bounce around but I dont like when they steal my keys or whatever else they think is worthy of adding to thier stash in some tiny little place that is hard to find. I used to have them but lost my last one to cancer early last year(I am still finding stuff she hid from me!).

We used to have ferrets (we even made a video on ferret care!) but when our last ferret died unexpectedly young a few years age we were too heartbroken to replace him. We still have tons of animals, though, including the following:

Charlotte-Austrailian blue heeler cattle dog (SPCA)
Blizzard- Maltese (breeder friend gave us)
R.B. Rascal -male orange/white domestic cat

a pile of Bengal cats (used to breed them, These were the keepers
Chantuse- spotted female, mega-shy
Starfire- male spotted mega sweet natured
Minuet- spotted female hand raised from birth by me, tiny & cute
Arabesque- "Squeaky" marble pattern pretty but only stupid bengal I've ever seen. Talks A LOT!

The last 2 animals you can see in pics at Catster & Dogster where my daughter posted them, mostly because the dog is her baby, and the cat is the dog's adopted mom! Anyway, here's the links:

Oh, yeah, and we hava a half naked rat half white rat (which means she is fuzzy grey for some reason) named Minkle who inherited the ferret cage.

I think that's more than enough!

How long ago was that?

Well, since my daughter (who is not quite 2) probably doesn't count as a "pet" :D ... I'll just list my furry kiddos.

I have a dog: Tex ... English Springer Spaniel, full of the quirkiness that makes this breed so much fun. He is liver and white, and is 14 now. I've had him since he was 10 weeks old, and I love him bunches, especially since he's been with me through some of the worst times in my life (like law school ... which I would not have survived without him). He's still quite spry for his age, and manages to get into trouble daily, when he's not napping on the cool, leather sofa in the downstairs family room.

And, I have a cat, too. We just call her "The Cat", but she wears the title proudly. She's a cute, mostly-white calico, and was a stray. Her previous owners moved away and left her behind, and she just decided to move in with us one day. And, I mean, literally, "move in". She was so, so shy, but I had been feeding her for a few months because I had discovered her in our garage eating our dry dog food. One day, after she had been eating on our front porch for a while, I opened the door to check on her, and she just walked in and made herself at home. She is the most affectionate and loving pet, and I'm so glad she decided to come stay with us.

I used to have pics of them on my main site, but took them down. Maybe I'll post some in the Beta album for people to see. :)
