How fun to read everyone's opinions!

My opinion stands as such:

I absolutely ADORE looking through other people's MISC. SECTION.

However, I HATE the idea of adding one to my page (but I do have an UNKNOWN section).

I like searching for treasures...but the RS engine doesn't pick up cels that don't have the show in the title or the section heading...so TONS get missed.

I can search RS for unknown and misc...but those of you who call them something different...(one-offs, cel wonders, haven't a clue, etc)...I miss you completely. Much to my dismay.

HOWEVER, if you give every show it's own category it does get VERY MESSY. Just look at my gallery for proof!!! http://fetish4minx.rubberslug.com

My next gallery project is to try and clear a bunch of this up. I'm just not sure how I'm going to do it. But as I'm going back through my gallery, I'm adding the show name to every title. Then I will probably go through and eliminate the SHOW TITLE categories and make them all something fun like: BUSTY WOMEN, LARGE EYES, ROMANTIC MOMENTS, MOTHERS, COMEDY, etc.

If you have any category ideas, please post!

ps
kymarea...I wish wish wish I had a CLUE what those two cels are from...but I haven't. However, I love them both! Especially the brown el-hazardish girl. I've always had a soft spot for her :)

I actually like looking into misc. sections and I think I check out any that I see in other galleries. I like the element of surprise. I also like having my own as I think it is better when you have a larger collection or lots of different series to have less categories.

Actually that isn't accurate. The search engine searches the text in the title of the cel, and any written description too and will add the images of those cels in the artwork portion of the search. For example, I have a Misc. cats section with the cat-girl from Eden's Bowy. If you type in the show title, it will show up in the artwork search. I also have cel descriptions that mention other characters, like Miruru about to pounce on Gabriel, and the cel will show up in a search for Miruru or Gabriel. I actually prefer to use the artwork search over the title search for that reason. I'm most interested in seeing the cels where ever they are. If you have a misc. section in a rubberslug gallery, be aware of the way the search engine works and include both the title of the show and the name of the character in the text for that cel so it can be easilly found in a search under either heading.

Thanks Vapalla,
your right! I completely forgot that the RS system does pick up descriptions. Whoops!

Thanks :)
I'll be sure to keep adding very descriptive comments on my cels :)

I enjoy seeing misc. sections, too. I'll look at a misc. section and see artwork from series I may not have viewed otherwise. I have no problem with one cel sections, unless the list is unbearably long. I think the list looks better when it doesn't extend too much past the text opposite it, in Rubberslug galleries, for symmetry.
If you really like the cel and want to showcase it, sure, give it a section of it's own. I'll keep browsing all the misc. sections I come across.

I like viewing misc. cel sections. ^_^ It's always interesting what cels turn up there. I also like to look incase there's a cel from BGC that someone has put there and doesn't mind selling, hehe. :)

Although if it was my choice in my own gallery, I'd prefer for the cels that I know which series they come from to be in their own section under that series name. I don't collect from many series so I don't think the list looks too long.

I go for the Miscellaneous category. I have a few categories with only one cel currently displayed, but, if it's listed, it means I collect a few more from the series. Unfortunately, even though some of my better cels are in the miscellaneous category, it seems fewer people check them out. :(

Great question BTW. I think people interpret Miscellaneous differently.

I used to have MISC sections where I'd stick various one-series cels in... but I've started to dislike doing that. I collect from a couple obscure titles and if anyone else has a couple and they're stuck in a MISC section, I'd never find them. Even though there may be only one cel on a page, I think it's easier to locate cels...and it makes those lonely cels feel special. lol
