What do you do when...

Post by Sakura-chan »

...you feel so frustrated that you actually think your plates would look really good smashed on the wall ? XD

I can't really talk about it for now, but I'm in a situation where I am so pissed off that I'd feel like stopping everything right now. Quitting cel collecting, selling all my cels and moving on :hurt: .

But then again, I couldn't turn my back to all of you :friends:, and plus I really like my cels... and the hobby, even if my wallet doesn't...

So I'm asking you guys : what do you do when you feel that everything is holding on a tiny thread ? That a tiny thing could just break it all ? How do you calm down ?

Everything was going soo well this week and now just one thing got me mad like crazy :l .

I feel like my PS2 could be a good way to channel those frustrations XD.

When I feel frustrated, I sometimes deliver my anger to my brother and mom (but definitely not dad!). Also, I just try to control myself by taking deep breath and stuff. Overall, I am pretty good at anger management. :)

Don't laugh at this - but I was told once to try smashing plates- I think -but don't quote me on this - that some cultures do this at the end of the year - to mark in a new year... or something like this..

Sooooo - when I was going through a really bad time - I tried it - *chuckles* I took old plates to the backyard - laydown a linen cloth and proceeded to throw the plates at the brick wall - first one - meh - I felt kind funny doing it - but after a while it was cool :) My mum came out at the time - and joined in - very theraputic - kinda like boxing I a m guessing. :)

HAHAHAHA!! Great minds, huh?

Hmm, what do I do. Rant? Scream? Throw a five-star public hissy fit? um... CLEAN? (oh how awful)

Whatever seems appropriate and helpful, I think.

Sound like you had the same kind of day I had. It's a good think I'm still dizzy from my ear infection or I'd have been heading off to the SuPer-Max facility for practicing my Battousai moves on a certain highly deserving soul at my place of employment :D

Doujinshi or smashed plates sounds like a much better idea to me...

Definitely less painful... and potentially less damaging to the pocketbook as well!

:rollin LMAO you guys are hilarious... oh wait, this helps :D ! Laugh is always a good idea :friends:.

I actually feel like smashing plates would be really helpful at freeing those frustrations... but I only have 3 plates, so I can't afford to lose them XD.

I'll grab the few doujinshis I have and give it a shot XD.

I'm usually VERY good at anger management... I've had a lot of awful situations and I usually deal with them very well... but when it comes to cels and money, it seems I get frustrated easily XD... don't ask why lol.

Well, thanks for all the help, I'm gonna go to bed and think about it tomorrow *huggles*. /kis2

Oh and continue the flow of suggestions please, you never know when it could come in handy LOL.

I think the PS2 game is an excellent idea!!! It seems like some great, action-packed game might work out those frustrations.

When I'm feeling that way, I try to walk away for a while. You know ... take a break from everything, and concentrate on something else, like my writing or something. Or, I watch some extra anime to make myself feel better.

By the way, I hope you remember your twin is just a PM away.

*huggles Saki-chan some more*

Whatever you do, don't bottle it up 'til you explode at your younger siblings, get in a fight w/ your mom, then just end up crying and telling her what's bothering you anyway. :emb Do what I say, not what I do.

Aww, hon, I know how you feel. I had a similiar experience not too long ago--I must admit that this semester really snuck up on me, so I had some problems of my own. Some serious button mashing might do the trick. :D

If you don't want to smash plates or glasses (which is quite a lot of fun X|) try pounding nails into a board or breaking a rock apart with a hammer (make sure to protect your eyes if you do the later). I have also been known to tear old towels, sheets, or t-shirts apart too. :D

When I get that angry, I usually have to tire myself out completely before the frustration goes away. Pounding things, throwing things, and ripping things apart usually accomplish this. :^^: Just try not to rip apart anything you'll regret later. :emb

I could always send you some good old taro board to, um, TRY to destroy... X|

I've been there for the last couple days.... just pissed off and pissed on. Been in a constant state of emotional upheavel, that just sucks! I haven't gotten much of a chance to do anything with it b/c i had to work the weekend.... starts Fri morn... i work fri, sat, sun night.... >_< All I had was 36hrs to stand around and think about everything.

I finally had time off (monday and tuesday night)... and I ended up sleeping for 14hrs, beating up a bunch of people on Soul Caliber II for GC (go link!) and went on a killing spree on DW3 Extreme Legends with LuBu... that's helped a lil. But I don't think my time will be over until 2-3 weeks when this all will (hopefully) finally end. *sighs*

Massive killing of people on Dynasty Warriors games, always helps me feel better if I'm frustrated though.

Oh wow... I have several bowls that carefully borrowed from what we called the "food" service when I was in college. ('75-79). It might be an interesting experience to try to break them. Good old Seiler's bowls... They've been dropped, stepped on, washed in the dishwasher, gone through three major moves and a bunch of little ones, and otherwise maltreated for over 25 years and still are rock solid.

Lemme know if you still need something to break. That might be worth an experiment!! :P
