Help tracking mail from France...?

Post by Rekka Alexiel »

Hey everybody, I was wondering if someone might be able to help me track some mail coming from France. I don't know how it was sent, but I was given a tracking number... I'm really hoping it will get here before I leave for Nagoya, so if anyone can help me track this shippment, I'd really, really appreciate it!!!

You can whack me now :wack , but have you plugged the tracking into USPS?

http://www.usps.com/

I know when I get EMS from Japan it will show up on USPS after a day or so.

I found this French page for tracking:

http://www.us.chronopost.com/web/en/

Or here is the French Post web page.

As I read your post Rekka, I was about to suggest the 'La Poste' website but MB kindly mentioned it.
Most of the stuff sent through 'regular' La Poste airmail is prompt and reliable, if it's a reggie, it'll reach you sooner, normally within 7 working days I'd assume.
Not as good as the Japanese or British systems of course ;) *hee hee*
Out of the gloom a voice said unto me;
"Smile and be happy, things could be worse".
So I smiled and was happy
and behold;
things did get worse...

Hey, thanks for the links. I found a couple of them, but it didn't even cross my mind to try USPS. Though, none of the sites were able to track this item number... I'm wondering why that might be...... ^^;

www.dhl.fr could be a possibilty but The reference doesn't fit I think.

I checked with a friend of mine who works for a Dutch transport company www.tnt.nl but he didn't recognise it either. :(

Thanks for your help, Gabe. I'll try those sites, too.

But yeah, I heard back from the seller, and he said the tracking number was correct, but he doesn't know how to track the item. lol So he's going to ask the post office again. ^^;; Would that be a given? I mean, shouldn't the post office always tell you how to track a number? Maybe it's not really a tracking number... I know sometimes the PO will give you a funky item number and stuff for your shipments but it doesn't necessarily mean it's trackable... *sigh* Just hoping they get here....
