Yeah sure! I totally forgot that you guys live close byBaakay wrote: Hey, do you want me to be your proxy place-kicker? I'll be close enough to him to actually reach in just a few hours. I can even throw in the unsuspecting "oof" from a cat landing just for good measure.
Would be a heck of a lot more fun than trying to drop-kick my older daughter through the uprights as she so richly deserves

(We're going to the Denver anime con tomorrow and Saturday and having a triple-decker early birthday celebration. Kymaera, Me, and Spouzal Unit all fall within a week in early October).

I'd just need my bike and some directions--it's totally feasible. . . but as for the cat, the closest I could get woud be one of those catgirl figures.Baakay wrote:Hey, do you want me to be your proxy place-kicker? So I will kick kymaera instead of gabe

So, what do I do to relieve stress? Ummm, I really wish I could remember. Then again, I don't get stressed out too often--I take a really easy-going approach to life.

I've always felt the "designated kicker"-rule ruined the game.

The Doctor : … and then, just to finish off, I’m going to wipe every last stinking Dalek out of the sky !
Dalek : But you have no weapons ! No defenses ! No plan !
The Doctor : Yeah ! And doesn’t that scare you to death ?

*wonders how much of IGWT and Kymaera will remain after this thread is done?8O*
Best stress reliever for me to date has involved some heavy earth moving machinery and a hill that needed to be leveled. Nothing like playing in the dirt with toys to make you feel carefree again.
But as that was a very rare circumstance, I usually end up driving in the mountains or something to take my mind off what is bothering me. Best advice I can recommend for you is to find something fun that you can kind of immerse yourself into so that the rest of the world doesn't seem so stressful.

Once more? Really nothing?

The Three Laws of Robotics:
1. A robot may not injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

My favorite kind of Music is techno, but I also like Opera.

I like going to concerts. It's a great way to relax, lose yourself in some good music, and get a little blitzed on the house beer.
Trolling auctions is fun, too. It's like window shopping.
I am also a mallrat. I love walking around the mall, watching the people, and taking my time. I especially like the mall at Christmas time. Everything is so alive!
Movies are great as well. If I am stressed, I'll go and see some mindless fare like Transporter 2. 2 hours of explosions and asskickings can really calm the nerves.

Time is but an illusion. Lunch time...doubly so.

I missed this thread while I was gone!
I dump my work stress on my husband in thirty minute sound bites.
And then, I'm all better!
If not, chocolate helps a LOT. My husband has been known to throw Hershey Kisses or Hershey Minis at me from a distance (underhand of course) and say something along the lines of "back foul beast"!

Listening to my favourite music loud while drumming away does it for me. I've just listened to 50 tracks and my limbs are worn out.
If you're having trouble sleeping, do something physical for several hours *nudge, nudge, wink, wink, say no more*, walking/cycling/gardening etc It's all good and will certainly help.
