Calling Ye Classic Anime Lovers

Post by shine »

Anyone heard of Magma Taishi (Ambassador Magma) by Tezuka Osamu? I believe Tezuka Osamu is also the creator of Tetsuwan Atom (Astroboy?). Well, the question is, do you think anyone would be interested in cels from the series...

I just got a number of cels from this series from a friend who's asked me to sell them. :o I have to admit, I'm not a big fan (I've never really seen it before X| although I was provided with a copy and will watch it), but I'm trying to figure out my likelihood of success here. Anyone think I could find buyers? I'd like to find these cels good homes and they're quite a few of them.

Since it is an older series, you'll have to be a bit lucky with the sales.
If you can find one to three fans of the series, chances are the cels will be sold rapidly. But it is still a "niche" series, meaning (as far as I can know) not everyone is going to jump on them.

I would test the waters by putting a few of them out there and seeing what happens.

The Doctor : … and then, just to finish off, I’m going to wipe every last stinking Dalek out of the sky !
Dalek : But you have no weapons ! No defenses ! No plan !
The Doctor : Yeah ! And doesn’t that scare you to death ?

Do you have a scan?

I don't know Ambassador Magma but I am a HUGE Tezuka fan and might be interested :)

Thanks for the advice. :) I'll do just that. I hope I'll find at least some buyers though because a lot of the cels are too gorgeous to stay in an old box.

PM sent!

For the possibly curious (or those who think they may recognize it), here're a few pics. I believe Ambassador Magma has also been made into a live action series along the lines of those old Ultraman shows.
