You should be able to do what you want with your own gallery. :tongue

I've never sold anything that I wanted to keep a momento of, but if I ever do, I'm not sure if I'll have a graveyard up or not.

It is one of my newer functions still under development.

If someone's going to comment... good or bad... they should have the decency to leave their name. :x I'm sorry their comment struck you the wrong way, h! It's really a bummer to have someone make you feel badly about something you enjoy as much as your gallery!!

And maybe just to interject a bit of a different viewpoint,... if you keep that cel visible in your gallery (even in a "sold" section) for others to view, it does kind of take the thunder away from the new owner to have exclusive rights to show their new prize. It was yours, but it's not yours anymore, and maybe it would be best for them to have the fun of having the only place to see "the original." If you want a way to keep a record of all the cels you've ever owned, maybe it could be in a hidden file so you can still see but others can't.

Now obviously since the image itself is available to anyone who owns the DVDs, it really shouldn't be something to get bent out of shape about (like if you took it out of your gallery, there would be noooo other place on the planet to see their cel! ;)). But that may be one reason that some people aren't crazy about "sold" sections. (But that still is no excuse to be rude!! :))

It sounds to me like just a suggestion (?) I would not worry too much about it since its obviously your choice to do what you want :D. I agree a lot with what shellie said though.

And I'm not too much of a fan on graveyard sections myself. But I think the saying goes to each his own.

I know what you guys mean but just the fact that they didnt put their name or email and they also sound demanding just made me say, "You know what, ima keep it there just cause that person said it in a demanding way". If they would have just put that special word "Please", then i would have probably done it. I mean im not getting upset or anything cuz its not something to get upset about. Look im not upset :) But its funny because whoever i sold my sells to, i was reallllly kind too, and for them to just say it like that :? But maybe they didnt want me think badly of them, so they didnt put their name or email. Who knows. O well, let them email me again with an email address so then i could sort things out. I dont really care if i have that section. I could hide it...but i wont because theres a demanding person :P Im the last person to listen to some random person giving obnoxious commands

This is exactly why I've written people who've sold me cels to take my new cel out of their sold galleries. I once found my A1End cel in 3 galleries. 8O Yeah, since my cel is the only one in the sequence, the thunder was totally being taken away.

I keep all of my sold cels in a folder on my computer and on a CD backup. Again, it's your choice to keep a graveyard section or not. But please be kind to those who ask politely for you to remove an individual cel. Ignore the rude ones.

From my standpoint (who doesn't have a definitive viewpoint either way) I think it would be kind of neat to be able to see who's had a cel in the past. Kind of like a journey map.

Wow! Sounds like a dilemma to be sure!

I certainly cannot stand rude people who, when they wish to ask something of you, are too cowardly to be open and honest about it. ie leaving their email so that you can correspond with them about the problem. Very uncool.

The dilemma for me is that I can understand why those who purchase cels would not want to see their cel still up on the sellers site...it is very special to own a completely unique piece of anime history ^.^

However, I can also understand the attachment the seller has to their sold cels and why they would want to keep a sold page up. And Not Sir Phobos' opinion that sold pages are like a journey map to see where your cels have been is awesome as well.

Conclusion: Maybe there should be a mirror RS site where you can post cels you have previously owned, so that those who own the cels can track their cels back to the beginnings of their appearance on the web :D

All in favor? hehehe I'm sure it would be a lot of work that most would not be interested in bothering with but it was worth the thought right?

Ahhh.. so its begun! :messed
....wait till you get the ones where they start cursing you out for
outbidding them on yhj auctions and telling you that you have no right to 'hoard' cels and sketches!
Then it tends to get more interesting, especially when it becomes
stalker-ish :wow: :ewhip: :crackup
lol

I wouldn't worry your cute lil head about it Harry.
They can kiss your -ss .. then again they might like that
so n/m lol! :run :rollin

But in all seriousness, what you do with your gallery
is your own business. They dont like it, they dont have to visit. :tongue

If we really want to demonstrate negativity here... they can kiss MY a$$. There's a scary Halloween thought for you. 8O :puzzled :run

I used to not keep my sold cels up for the very reason that they're not mine any more. And in a few cases, the purchasers are such sweethearts that I wouldn't want to steal their thunder. Then there was the one that ooh'd and aah'd over the cel I sold. I was happy to let it go to such a caring home. And about 2 weeks later I found it circulating on ebay again, for twice the price (which to the best of my knowledge he or she never got). I didn't feel quite so compelled to drag my image down after that.

I figure it's whatever you and the buyer are comfortable with. And, as you said, they need to ask nicely :)
