It's not anime but manga....

Post by Rekka Alexiel »

Do we have a forum for manga discussions...?

Anyway, I just got the new issue of Lala yesterday to read the next chapter of Harukanaru toki no naka de (which is an excellent chapter by the way, not to mention that my boy Tenma's on the COVER!! haha -evil fangirl squee-) but...I got to reading another manga series in Lala called "Sailor fuku ni onegai!" It's a pretty new series, there's only 2 manga out right now, but new chapters are printed in Lala... Anyway, I just read book 1 last night and I'm in the process of reading the 2nd one..... It's a really good love story, or at least, I know that's what it's going to turn into. heehee Let me describe it a little...

It's about this girl (Matsumoto Hinagiku) who was playing baseball one day and hit a home run. The ball went flying into the woods and when she went to go find it, the ball crashed into a little shrine and destroyed it. While she tries to clean up the mess she created, something gets sucked into her-- apparently, the shrine is dedicated to a certain god (Misato), who's power in the form of a mirror gets absorbed into Hina's body. Then, two of the guardian dog statues (Komainu), a black and white one, come alive. These two Komainu are able to transform back and forth from their dog and human forms.... The white komainu is just called "Koma" and the black one is "Shishi". Apparently their task is to protect the god of Misato, which is no Hina... So you kinda get the idea of the basic storyline. Shishi is the one of the many bishies in the story, and there's definitely going to be something going on with Hina and he. heehee He's adorable.

But anyway, I just wanted to share this title with you all. It's definitely shoujou manga... heehee I have to travel way the heck far away today for work, so I'll be reading more of volume 2 today! yay!!!

PS. I hope everyone's doing well!! I still don't have internet, so... -sob- I'll try to post as much as I can!

I think it would be a great idea! I can get Lala, I just need translations! But it would be great if we had a section for manga discussions. I'm always on the look out for new stuff to read.

Yes, a manga section would be spiffy. I have a few favorite manga I would like to share/discuss with others. :)

Oh I know, I have another friend getting me into a bunch of new manga titles.... Honey & Clover, Kaze Hikaru something or other... and I'm trying to get her to read Sailor fuku ni onegai! It's an odd title...and it really has NOTHING to do with the story so far...so heh I kinda wish she would have called it something different. heehee
