Got my first negative for a stupid reason...

Post by Kaije »

I can't believe this. This guy, chase_trawets took two months to pay for a cel BACKGROUND. I was nice and let it slide, he finally paid after many emails and I sent the background. He leaves me a negative saying-
"Very disappointed.Falsely advertized. Got a cheap painting instead of a cel."

Seriously, I don't get it. Sorry, just had to vent. =\

My feedback:

That sucks. The auction clearly states that it is for a background.

However, you're probably not doing yourself a favor by calling him a
moron in the response (even if he is one).

Darn! It's a winter background. I'm always on the lookout for those since I need them for a few of my cels. X|

It's very pretty, Kaije. I can't believe the jerk neg'd you for such a pretty background. Not a cel, he complains.. well no duh, dummy! -_-; What part didn't he understand? The part that says BACKGROUND? The part that says Characters: none? Or was it the fact he's also blind and can't SEE that it is a painted background? Oi.

Thanks for the replies, everyone. As far as calling him a moron, name calling always helps. I did email him explaining the situation, and I wasn't aggresive or vulgar in any way, hopefully we can do a mutal withdrawal.

SugarFlower-If he wants a refund-I'd be more than happy to give it to you for the price of shipping.

As for the situation as a whole-I'll have to add very detailed descriptions to my auctions from now on. Selling on ebay shouldn't be such a pain.=\

I always try to describe my auctions 100% but my fiance, being the most impatient person in the whole world, always rushes me when I make the descriptions and look the item over for any flaws, etc. :P

But you know, no matter how well you can describe an item or how detailed you try to be with your auction terms, you always get those oddballs that never really fully read the auction description/terms.

Good luck with your future sales and sorry about your neg. Also, yes, I would love that background if the buyer decides to return it. :D Thanks!

By the way, I love your avatar!

That really sucks about the negative feedback. You couldn't get much better than your response to their feedback though - hit the nail on the head. You should attempt to dispute it though.

Sorry that happened to you.

Eh I think I'll add that guy to my block list, rather not deal with that type.

I think even if you get stuck with the negative, anyone who does their homework will see it was unwarranted.
Plus, with as many positive feedbacks as you have, one negative will be dismissed right away as a bad apple. At least, that's what I would do.

But I have to admit I'm still laughing and cheering you on for calling him a moron. :P :yay I mean, really. It says background in the title and description both.

Just like in the real world, E-bay has idiots abound. I once had a transaction where, after receiving the item in excellent condition within a week of payment, I was slammed with negative feedback while she mentioned what a glowing transaction it was. (grumble)

Anywho, I wouldn't worry about it. I think most E-bayer have, at one time or another, received negative feedback from some yahoo who can't read. Have a question - ask. But don't wait until the end of the auction to ask pertinent questions.

As for this buyer - what did he think a cel background was anyways?!
