I'm a freak for characters with wings, and that was my incentive to see this series... but that was... wow, a really, really long time ago. lol And I've managed to sell all of my esca cels in that time. *sniffle*

Errrrmmmm...can I cast multiple votes? I loved Folken and Dryden in the series. Absolutely *loved* them! And as pretty as Allen is in the series...he's almost too froofy. *ALMOST* Now in the movie....HOLY TOLEDO! Allen was dead sexy! On the other hand, Dryden and Folken left little to be desired.

All around, I enjoyed watching Van open up and grow through both the series and the movie.

Yeah, Dilandau's the character for me, by far. - Hitmoi is the only character Id otherwise vote for. She has seriously identifiable issues that kinda resonate Dilandau's. Folken is cool too.

Since I've never seen the series or movie, and have only one cel from Escaflowne anyway, I guess I have to vote Dilandau.

Or possibly I'll just take any excuse to say: WOOOOO, 1000th post! I've officially been on the Beta forum Too Darn Long.

I think it's the latter.

At my current posting rate, 5 years to go! Congrats on hitting the 4 digits.

I voted Folken, though I was torn between him and Van. When it comes down to it, Folken has cooler wings, a freaky arm, is more built, and wears what looks like a skirt. How could I not go for that? Oh, and the eyeshadow/tattoos.

Well, I've now seen about 20 episodes of Escaflowne, and I'm pleased to say that my vote is STILL Dilandau. That is one crazy psycho bastard!

Let's see... clinically insane, check. Femmy and villainous, check. Drives a mech (or a reasonable facsimile thereof), check. Personal issues out the wazoo, check. Beats up his subordinates for fun, check.
