I just don't understand.

The Three Laws of Robotics:
1. A robot may not injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

I'm thankful for having good health. I usually don't think much about my health until I'm having problems with it. I'm thankful for having supportive and patient parents. I'm thankful for having a sister who was about as easy to get along with as anyone could be. I pretty much never argued with her. When I think of all the trouble making, pain-in-the-neck sibilings I could have ended up with - I'm very grateful.
I'm thankful to have a nice place like Beta to come to since the other community message board I hang out at is very slow now.

I'm most thankful for the things I did not have last year.
My job - Could not be happier about where I work and the people I work with.
My home - This is the first place I've lived in on my own. No more roommates.
I am very thankful for my friends, my family, and my good health. Happy Thanksgiving folks.

I'll play along too. We never did anything like this in my family. It was more of a chore to see any relatives other than the immediate 4 of us, mom, dad, brother and I, so it wouldn't have been very interesting.
Anyway as some of you know, I had a very rough year. So I guess I'm most thankful that this year is almost over. I'm very happy I'm not terribly sick anymore. I'm extremely grateful my dog is still with me. He is my child of 10 years now. Here's hoping for 10 more years heart condition and all.
And not to be a total bummer, I'm so happy I was able to meet so many beta members in person this year. It's amazing the bonds people can build over the internet to cause them to fly to TX or CA on a whim.
Happy turkey day, everyone!

I am really thankful for my family. Especially my parents, who have put up with my crap for 19 years . . . and of course, my brothers and sisters, all 75494653 of them, who love to drive me insane. Then again, how else would I know that they care?
I'm thankful for my friends. The ones who are now in other states/countries b/c of school, missions, or whatnot. Also, the ones I still have here (don't listen to kymaera--not all of them are sock puppets) and the new ones I've made recently.
I'm thankful that I have a full belly, a roof over my head, and financial independence from my parents. That's right--I'm paying my own way!
I'm thankful for all of the teachers I had (secular and non), and some of the professors I have/had. Only my parents have shaped my life more. I'm also thankful for my Acamom and Acagod (sorry for the inside joke--no one here knows what I'm talking about, but I'm still thankful).
I'm thankful for my beliefs and my religion.
I'm thankful for all the wonderfully friendly people in the world out there. That means you.

I'm thankful that kymaera posted this to remind me to pick up some aluminum foil at the grocery store . . . and a lighter, in case all else fails. *sigh* But that would certainly be a boring way to burn.kymaera wrote:I'm also thankful klet hasn't burned my house down yet...but then, I credit
that to my not letting her near the microwave.

I am thankful for the family I have left. Most of all my mother. She has helped me out so much over the years. My grandma also survived breast cancer this year so I am happy she will be spending another holiday season with us.
I am also thankful for my friends, online and irl. They have been a great support team. My best friend was there for me with the loss of my brother, dad and again this year when I lost my grandpa to cancer. My best friend has also has my two wonderful godsons-which can bring me from sad to happy in 2 seconds flat.

I'm thankful for my family and best friends, who shaped me into the person I am today. (so if you don't like me, blame them.

Dalek : But you have no weapons ! No defenses ! No plan !
The Doctor : Yeah ! And doesn’t that scare you to death ?
