*sings*

"our house, in the midle of our street. . ."

Gawd! *hides* I loved 80's music! Still get on my kicks every once in a while. Anything by Duran Duran, of course. And yes, I loved George Boy. *sighs* There was never any hope for me.

But my fave. . . C'mon Eileen. Still love that song. Get me dancin' round the house any ol' time.

OHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! And "99 luft balloons"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was the very first video they played when we finally got our MTV!!!!!!!!!! Remember plain as day. I sat in-front of our television for hours watching fuzz, waiting for them to activate the channel and then the little moon-man thing came-on. . . I was so excited!:)

My friends and I always get out some Madness and Duran Duran at parties. Wouldn't be the same without it. ^_^

One step... beyond!

The 80's wasn't my favourite period in music, the early to mid-90's were best IMO because of the various movements in Rock that came about at that time.

However a few that spring to mind are classic Iron Maiden such as 'Aces High', 'The Trooper', 'Can I Play With Madness', 'Stranger in the Strange Land'... and I enjoyed some of the early grunge such as Soundgarden with 'Loud Love' in 1989.

My first album purchase was an Iron Maiden one which I still have on cassette but the first single I bought on 12" vinyl was Vanilla Ice with 'Ice Ice Baby' LOL That was so cool at the time. Image
