Yep, 20 years is quite a long time - he survived moving a couple of times (in a tupperware container no less...), and he survived a bout of a similar illness to the one which took his life this time -- that happened about 2 years ago. To put it mildly, he survived a lot of things

, including his crazy humans going away for weeks at a time and leaving him with vacation feeders and such.
He always used to dance around by the glass when either of us were nearby... he knew when feeding time was and did his ritual dance and wiggling routine when we came over with the food.

He was such a great fish - he had as much personality as any of my furry pets have ever had.
I used to swear he was the immortal goldfish because he lived through everything. Guess it was finally his time, but it's still sad.

Somewhere I have a photo that 4D took of him... I'll have to put it in a frame
