The Doctor : … and then, just to finish off, I’m going to wipe every last stinking Dalek out of the sky !
Dalek : But you have no weapons ! No defenses ! No plan !
The Doctor : Yeah ! And doesn’t that scare you to death ?
Happy Birthday Sensei to you too, kawaii-clamp-fan.
The Three Laws of Robotics:
1. A robot may not injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

Perhaps I'm just expressing my own concern about it.

I remember sensei's b-day in 1971!
Mostly it included pushing my brother's unpredictable car so we could go back to college together; then waiting in a snowdrift by the side of the road so the wrecker could come and replace the blown tire; then getting to my dorm at 10 pm and having to do an all-nighter to write the term paper due the next day (most colleges stretched the semester over Xmas so profs could assign big papers over the break ).
After that, I've learned to enjoy any birthday cel-ebration, no matter how modest. Thanks, all of you! I'll let you know later what happens (a lot depends on the weather).
And ... after all ... 56 is 14 x 4. That means I've successfully maintained the interests and mindset of a 14-year-old four times longer than most people do. Given the world we live in, I can't but help but think that's healthy.
Sensei goes back to reading his copy of Midori Days hidden under his side of the bed.
