No comments about how the arc ended? I'm surprised! :P

I absolutely loved this story arc. The one that's about to come... not so much. Well okay, not at all. I'm curious what the anime will do with it...

It was great to finally see Aizen in action--it's hard to get a sense of his moves in just the manga. I'm NOT looking forward to the filler material that will be starting in January... :l (if Naruto is any indication...)

I'm enjoying the manga quite a bit right now--it's going to be awesome when it's animated! Manga spoiler:
The good stuff will be coming in the next couple weeks with the Ichigo/Grimjaw battle! I'm betting someone will have to step in to help out. Most likely Hirako or some other Vaizards will come to Ichigo's rescue once Grimjaw starts beating on him :P. I'm looking forward to having some questions answered about them...

What is the Bleach OVA 1 about? Is it new or rehashed stuff?

if i remember correctly, the jump special is just an episode (and not a great
episode at that), i think it was 13 or 14, with a bunch of clips at the end for
stuff that happens later in series.

Here's the description from animesuki:

Jump Festa 2004: Memories in the Rain + 13 Squad Omake. This was created before the anime series. Most of this OVA is a different telling of episodes 8-9. The last two and a half minutes after the closing credits contains scenes involving the Gotei 13, some of which don't occur until episode 48. If you are concerned about spoilers, please wait until episode 48 until watching the scenes after the credits, even though they don't contain any original story.

I prefer the OVA over the actual TV episodes because the OVA stays truer to the manga. :D

I really liked that Memories in the rain thingy.
I think I watched it after I'd seen the 4th tv episode or such. But I had already read the manga past that point, so was able to appreciate that it told that part of the story.
The spoilerish stuff just went over my head, added to the mystery of the show, and didn't really click until I got to that point in the series "OH! Okay! Got it!".

Yeah, and I followed Kubo Tite's instructions and read that manga the first time on a dark and rainy day. I'm such a sap. :P

Thanks guys! I didn't recognize it going under that name. 8O

I hadn't heard any talk of a Bleach OVA so I had the feeling that it wasn't a recently released anime. :?

If I did that, I'd have to wait months before I could read the thing! I can't remember the last time it rained around here. :?

Geez I am always soooo far behind on anime. I originally watched Bleach to see what all the hype was about. Now I am hooked. I am all caught up on the anime so now I want to switch to the manga. If someone could PM me a link to scans that would be great (I will also read thru posts-but I tend to miss what I am actually looling for X| ).

Seeing this nice Matsumoto today made me happy. I was hoping Megahouse would continue their Bleach Excellent Model line, but I wasn't expecting Rangiku so soon. :D

I'm a little disappointed with the Yoruichi, but I like Rangiku better anyhow.

How's the "filler" arc going? I haven't started it yet, as I've been catching up on some other shows.

Let me describe it to you this way.

This is the first time in Bleach-ness that I've felt the need to organize discs, sketch, or otherwise do something with my hands while it was on. It's barely interesting enough to keep me going with it.

Compared with the filler episodes of other noteworthy programs, it's pretty darn good -- and I don't want to suggest that these are BAD episodes in any sense -- but the difference in story quality and writing in general is quite noticeable. At least to me :)

All kidding aside, she does look pretty damn good though.
I'm a little disappointed with the Yoruichi
Yeah, no kidding. :? I would prefer her a little edgier/meaner/tougher looking? *searching for the right word*
Wait.
That sweater comes OFF??!! 8O :P
That's true Fan Service right there. :P

Wishlist: Ichigo with removeable shirt!!!! I'd buy THAT!!!

Rangiku is looking mighty fine though. They did a great job on her.

I agree with you and perv-chan. She just looks off somehow. And... is she pushing her boobs up with her arms?? 8O Maybe she saw the Rangiku statue and felt a little inferior? :P

Anyway, it would have been neat if they had put the butterfly markings on her. Or... put her in the same pose as the one on Volume 17. :P

Ack! What have they done to my fav Bleach character? Yoruichi does not stand contorted like a Victoria Secret model. Trust me, I check all the almost daily VS catalogs we receive at the house. She needs a more graceful stance, one befitting the God of Flash-step. Oh well, I'll wait for version 2.
