You're right, I love the way he draws the figures of his ladies and I wished he'd ink more of his creations comic style, I bet they would look gorgeous

Of course I visited the link, heh, I was only kidding. The prospect of voluptuous women didn't grab me anyway, I honestly wanted to take a look.

It's not my sort of thing- I didn't warm to the design and proportions of the characters, especially the overly 'American' style. It looked too forced/copied but I know he's still amateur and I think it's great that he has his own webspace!
I have respect for artists who keep practising and put their artwork out there for others to see.

I'm sure he appreciates any comment on his work. Especially when it is honest and sincere.
But I'm glad you took the time to check out his page.

I know it's not anime and therefore a style that may not be appreciated by everyone on this board, but I love how he adds depth without shading and the way he's not afraid to emphasize exactly those parts of the female body that are so distinctively 'feminine'.

I agree with you, Krafty. The artstyle is very "American", and I have to admit that kind of threw me off at first. But, I have to say I just love the proportions he gives his lovely ladies. I really, really like the super long legs, especially. And, those lovely eyes, too. Overall, these features drew me in and turned my opinion around. Beautiful stuff, over all! At least, in my opinion (uh ... not that it counts all that much, since I know nothing of "great art" ... but I do know what I like ... and ... I LIKE!

Thanks Wendy, I understand what you're saying about many of us loving the asian art style better, but I do actually appreciate US comicbook art since most of my comic collection is American. Of the 1500+ comics I've got, manga accounts for about 5%.

I enjoy the work of American artists like Michael Turner, Stephen Platt, Marc Silvestri, Todd McFarlane, J Scott Campbell, Pat Lee, Tony Daniels, Joe Maduera etc. Yeah, many of the names of the mid-late '90s, heh.

They knew exactly how to draw butch men and curvy women while demonstating their own unique style.
Your friend can also improve and reach a high standard as he is showing us some good things so far!
