Searching for an Anime Artbook

Post by Krafty »

A new book has recently come out in Japan and it's an anime art book in the true sense in that it collects a number of original drawings/hanken and other sketches done by the artist.

I'm looking for YASUOMI UMETSU: KEY ANIMATION DRAWING

It's a new book which I assume was published at the end of 2005 because the YJ auctions only began last week. As such I assume it's still available to order or buy from stores. I don't want to buy it on YJ because the fees will be $35 before I even have the book shipped to me.
I'd like to get this book because I've seen a few pictures of the pages and noticed some genga artwork I have in my collection.

I've tried http://www.nippon-export.com and http://www.animebooks.com/ but they don't have it :roll: So do you know where else I can try?

Poe suggested I email Aslum Anime and ask about it but I don't want to pay an import premium when I may as well buy it direct from Japan.

Any suggestions would be appreciated, you are the people who will know!
Out of the gloom a voice said unto me;
"Smile and be happy, things could be worse".
So I smiled and was happy
and behold;
things did get worse...

What did you find?

The Three Laws of Robotics:
1. A robot may not injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

Maybe you can ask someone in Japan directly to search for you?
Like RX, Kageneko or Rekka perhaps?

When I was in Japan I visited several Mandarake book stores and they're huge! They're bound to have this book.

That must have been quite an experience.

It was Cloud.

If you'd seen a guy cosplaying Major Armstrong from FMA, singing Abba songs off tune, you'd be mighty impressed too!
