Has this happened to you?I'm So angry!

Post by moonrabitt »

I feel like I would  *censor* hurt someone. No it doesn't have to do with the fact that lost so many gundam seed sketches on yahoo japan ( :l ) But to do with something related; my computer.
It got a virus, so I need to use the restore cd to clean it, (and upload my new cels and sketches  ) I don't like my laptop, so I don't use it to upload cels. Though that is a problem, the bigger problem is that I need my good comp. to apply for three scholarships due on April 1. So i order 2 restore cd from the maker of comp.
Here is the kicker, Fedex sent the package to the wrong Address! To a store called Autozone :O At first I thought WTF? did I spell my address incorrectly? Than I checked with the computer company and found that I was indeed correct, the address was right. So how in the heck did it end up in another address?
Now the package was sent last Monday, and it arrived last tuesday to the wrong place. I just found out on This monday (gave plenty of time to deliver in good faith)and it said my package was signed for by the pep. at Autozone. I need my CD ASAP, and I'm really getting frustrated...

-I sent an email to Fedex(today), and they said they would check on it, they needed the address of the shipper, the item description, and some other info, so I wrote to the comp. company, and know I wait for their response. (How long can this take? 4 days? I'm seriously getting frustrated)
-Since I paid for 2 day shipping, and it is Fedex's mistake, can I request for some money back? Like the diff. between regular shipping and 2 day shipping?
-thanks for listening, and do have any advice, and has this happend to you before?

Oh my .... how frustrating! But yes, I have had Fedex attempt delivery of a package of mine to the totally wrong address. I called the shipper and insisted that they make sure that Fedex had the correct address, because I was home at the time of the supposed 'attempted delivery'. In my case, they managed to get it right the next time--but what a mess. X|

When?

Do you ask when to her or to me?

I mean at least there wasn't a cel involved...beacuse there are many cds, but you can't replace a cel, and I have heard other horror stories about fedex, so I'll make sure to never use this service again.

On that note , I Called the auto zone were my cd was sent to and were it was signed off, the funny thing is that that address and mine only have 3 numbers in common, wich are reversed, on the same city yet diff. streets. so I am so angry. I called the place and they said they never got my package. How can people make mistakes like this, Lazy?

And well, even I may forgive that, but when they make me fix all this, that is were I'm fed up. The comp. company said they can't do anything, and that I should contact fedex (SO I call, and there are so many sub-sections that you can't find your way around) So I email them. Then they said that maybe it's the mistake of the comp. company. And there I email, back and forth, one needs info on the other one, and today I just had enoun, and wrote to them both saying you guys fix it.
I basicaly told the comp. company, I bought something from you, I did not get it, so figure it out before Monday 27, or I'll cancel the payment on the cd....

and so the battle continues........

On a happy note, I won some auctions
-thanks for reading if you have any comment please go ahead and say it

That's pretty lousy, I'd say.

I know there are bunches of us who have had horror stories or near-misses with various delivery services. I'm sure we can all relate :)

My latest one was successfully ended just this week. I bought three Uende prints at the end of February which she, of course, mailed out right away. About a week and a half ago or so I started getting antsy because I hadn't seen the boys, and she dug up the registered mail number for me. (which I promptly lost in the ether, but that's a different issue :P )

After getting the number from her again I called the postal orifice and was told that of course the package was here, it had been here since MARCH 8 and a notice was left. They were going to send it back at the end of next week.

NO, a notice wasn't left. My usual delivery people (there are 2) both know all about the dozens of packages that show up, they know to look for stuff from Japan or Hong Kong and treat it carefully, and they know enough to put the pink slips IN the mailbox when they leave one. They also know that if the garage door is open, someone's here, and they can just tuck cel-shaped packages between the storm door and the innner door.

Nope, this was some temp or substitute or someone who was either too dang lazy to leave a slip, or -- more likely -- too dumb not to put it in the storm door on a day when the wind was just shy of gale-strength. Of course I would never see it... our trashcans get going and roll halfway to Kansas when it's windy like that.

Grump grump grump. I would have been horribly miffed, both for me and for Uende, if they had sent the package back without checking again.

So, yeah! I understand your disgruntlement! Hope you can get some sort of satisfaction out of them!
