Where to buy 3-inch CD cases?

Post by Nene »

I have a few 3-inch anime CDs without plastic cases. The others I was lucky enough to buy with a case already put on by the previous owner.

My question is, where can I buy these cases (preferably online somewhere)? I've noticed by the markings on some of the cases that some of the manufacturers include "Compact Disc Digital Audio SINGLE", "Maxell" and "KEEP CD Single PLA CASE".

I'm not even sure what to search for on YJ to see if someone's selling some cases but any advice would be appreciated. ^_^

I typed "mini CD cases into google and there seem to be tons of them available from slip cases to mini jewelboxes. The only problem you might have is that a lot of them are sold in packs so you have to buy a big bunch of them.

Here's a couple sites I picked randomly from the search:

http://www.sleevetown.com/mini-disc-storage.shtml

http://www.americal.com/ct/mini%20sleeve.html

There's loads more too.

Hope that is helpful! :)

There might be others.

Thanks for the links Vapalla. I thought I was getting somewhere with the first link but upon reading the description, they're a bit too small. As well as storing the 3" CDs, I have the covers (approx 6.5" x 3.5") and those are the kinds of cases that I'm looking for.

I've got an example of the kind of cases I'm looking for here.

I also have some mini music CDs from various series that are like that. I love them because the art is so nice! I didn't see any cases like that when I browsed sites, and it might be that they were only made for selling the CDs so they looked better for display. All I can suggest is to google more sites as the ones I posted were just samples. Perhaps somebody sells some on YJ? I have no idea how to look, though. Good luck!

I know one guy in Japan who added a spare CD case when I asked with an order of regular CDs however, I don't want to bother him with asking for more CD cases when I don't want to order anymore CDs from him right now. Even if I paid him for say a dozen, he only takes payment by Yen cash so its a bit bothersome.

I was told that the CDs don't normally come with those plastic cases and that you can buy them to store them in but I think that's only generally in Japan since they're the major retailer of those sorts of CDs.

I've tried having a search on YJ since I did alot of Googling earlier but I reckon I need to input some Japanese text to get a better search result and I have no idea what to put in. ^_^; If anyone knows how to search for these kinds of cases on YJ, I'd appreciate the info.

I think I managed to decipher the text for "plastic case" from those auctions which brought up just 4 pages.

Deputy fees might add a bit too much though if I buy 10 like I'd need. Shame the seller couldn't have more than 5 in one auction lol. Least I know what I'm searching for now, yay!
