That doesn't happen all the time. It's never happened to me. Some women
post provocative pictures to get the interest of guys, so if you want that
kind of attention you'll get it, but you can avoid it. I don't have any problems
with mine. You can also set your privacy settings. Your profile can be private,
your blogs can be private, you can make it only so people who actually
know you in real life can add you to their friend list, etc. There are ways
to have a safe and protected account, it's just up to you.
Ok, so I'm not one of the "younger" crew. (yes, I hear it now. "You're NOT??!!" "Sarcasm is lost on you, Pinky).
Nope, don't have one... I figure the feds can track me easily enough by googling me.
Seriously, I already spend waaaaaaay too much time online and have for at least 15 years. Why make it worse?

1. A robot may not injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

Myspace isn't really all that bad. I only associate with my friends on there. Afterall, they can't post nothing if they are not your friend on there. I don't use myspace to date, only to basically post things for my friends to see... and to keep in touch with those who don't live nearby anymore.
I get confused over these 'spaces' sites but I get the impression that 'myspace' is an interactive type of site on its own. Does it have anything to do with MSN?
I set up an MSN 'Space' website since I was bored one afternoon and had 20mins spare http://spaces.msn.com/kraftykorner/ but I think this is something different.
Since 'MySpace' seems popular, I'll certainly give it a miss.
Things Most People Use MYSPACE for or MYSPACE DEFINED:
* Unique layouts that you can change with codes found on websites all over the place... usually CSS code. You can make your own layout on your own if you know how. People do this to "stand out."
* Unusual pictures of yourself. Artistic, boring, sexy, funny... whatever. Just pics of yourself or your friends others can see. More than likely your friends can see so they can post comments on the page about the pictures.
* To keep in touch with your friends. Afterall, if they have a myspace they use often, it's like talking to them every day.
* A lot of people post their interests, hobbies, etc. There is a music part of the site called MySpace Music where bands can upload their songs and advertise themselves to the world. Fall Out Boy did this before becoming popular, but it was on MSN not Myspace.
* Post videos to entertain yourself, friends or whatever. Post videos of yourself too. Or music videos.
* To meet new and interesting people. Sometimes people your friends know that you don't that you found through myspace.
* Some people use it for dating or internet relationships or something. I don't know why, seems kind of odd to do it that way but you never know.
* To advertise other things. Like their artwork, cartoons, whatever. Myspace is a great advertising tool.
* and so on...
THE NASTY SIDE OF MYSPACE -
* A lot of people post enough information on the page that, someone so inclined, could track them down. It usually lists by default their age, the city and state they live in... and a picture of them. Then some people post these "lists" that ask questions like "Hair color, eye color, Date of Birth, etc." - sometimes where they work. In other words enough information via myspace that you could drive to the town and find them, possibly. But you can get a lot of that information on a forum, and you can set a lot to private if you wish. So it can be helped.
* Advertising porn. A lot of girl's myspace pages are merely advertisements for their "Web Cam," ... or pornopgraphy pages. Like I said, myspace is a great advertiser. -_-
* Myspace Stalking. Like what I said above, except, they aren't looking to hunt them down. This is usually when a guy or girl likes someone and uses myspace rather than real interaction to learn EVERYTHING they can about them.
ETC.
... again it's just how you use myspace. And maybe I lied on all of my info. lol. Nobody knows but me!

Positive:
*You can find people you haven't seen since highschool and say things like "Woah she's into orgies now?!?" or "I knew he was gay!!" or "Holy crap they let themselves go!"
