Actually, I didn't know that. Thanks, Lynxa! Mind you, I still think there should be a "chat with Cloud" thread, since this way, everybody can see his answers and we can try to figure out what's going on in his head! LOL!

Are you feeling any better, Cloud? How's your eye today?

I do not have any feelings as such.

So, when your eye was unattached, it didn't hurt you, Cloud? I'd find that distressing! Imagine how much damage you can do to yourself, Cloud, if you don't feel any pain!

Here's a question for you: Is there something that we on the bord do not know about you, Cloud? Something that you'd like to tell us, perhaps?

Cloud's right. Some animals feel little or no pain.
There are claims lobsters only feel sensation to get away from the heat but not physical pain of being boiled while alive.

so....back to the off-topic (^_^)...
this is a silly question, but!
Do you have a favorite food Cloud?

There were also claims that goldfish only had a memory of a few seconds to only a couple of minutes, but that's been soundly disproved. Which makes me wonder if some of these claims are only to make us feel better for boiling the things alive, or for keeping goldfish in those little tiny bowls. I always feel sorry for the siamese fighting fish, too. When you see them in the store they're in these little cups of water, looking very sad and pathetic. I've been told they're good in a tank with other fish, but just not with each other. I always feel like I want to rescue the poor things.
